Park Jimin carefully peeks into the kitchen, a smile lacing his full lips as he sets his eager gaze on someone. The figure stands near the kitchen's island, holding an orange and peeling the skin off. Peeling fruit isn't a necessarily arduous task, but Kim Namjoon often makes a rather simple task, difficult.

His furrowed eyebrows, salient clenched jaw, and concentrated stare amuse Jimin. He could have stood there and watched Namjoon all day, but Namjoon stops and sets the orange down when he notices Jimin staring resolutely at him. His fixed expression fades away, an agitated one taking its place.

"Jimin," Namjoon sighs resignedly, trying his hardest to maintain his new facial appearance. "Do you need anything?" Now it's his turn to justly observe the younger, who saunters all the way in with a playful grin on his face and small hands behind his back.

"Nope," Jimin wittily says, popping the P much louder than necessary. He walks up to the island, standing on the opposite side across from the taller dimpled man. He subtly scans over his leader's seemingly annoyed expression, knowing how hard it likely is to keep up this act. Jimin has to admire his stubborn dedication to this.

Namjoon wants to push his attention back onto the citrus fruit on the countertop but he can't focus knowing Jimin's warm stare is on him. "Why are you looking at me like that?" He asks once their russet eyes promptly meet.

The younger has this look on his face that some might confuse with innocence when it's in fact mischief. Namjoon knows it too well. He can recognize it better than he recognizes the backs of his own hands. The false softness in Jimin's cinnamon eyes can't swindle him.

"Like what?" Jimin's brows arch in question, but it's not really a question and they both know that. It's Jimin still teasing Namjoon, but he won't win. Those soft brown eyes and slight childlike tone in his voice will not get to Namjoon. He refuses.

"I'm still mad at you, you know," Namjoon says getting right to the elephant in the room. He's not really sure how he expected Jimin to react. He definitely didn't expect a wider grin and a faint giggle to escape him.

"Ah, seriously?" Jimin replies, shaking his head and suddenly deciding to hop onto the countertop. Before, he kept his hands behind his back to hide the white paper bag he had brought into the house with him a few minutes ago. Now, after adjusting his sitting on the counter, the bag was now sitting in his lap where he knew Namjoon could see it.

The older can't help but observe the bag. Clearly, it was something important if Jimin had been hiding it in the first place. "Yes, seriously." He picks the orange back up and starts peeling where he left off. It was taking longer than typically expected, but Namjoon himself knew as well as the others if he wasn't cautious he would probably hurt himself while doing something this elementary. "What's in the bag?"

"I thought the bread was for everyone," Jimin laughs, ignoring Namjoon's question. His mind goes back to a few days ago when Namjoon had been gone all day only to come back with a box of bread. He left the box on the table before going off to take a shower and Jimin found himself eating most of the contents, thinking it was for everyone in the household. Taehyung had a piece or two, but Jimin wasn't about to snitch on his soulmate, so there wasn't any reason to mention that.

"Well, it wasn't," Namjoon replies, finally pulling the fruit apart to eat. "What's in the bag?" He repeats, breathing in the pleasant scent of citrus that becomes increasingly evident with each pull.

Pointing his adorably chubby finger to the orange in the leader's hands, Jimin asks, "Can I have a piece?" And Namjoon, who is still supposed to be agitated with the younger man, sighs and passes him a piece. He's unafraid to admit he is terrible at being upset with him.

"The bag, Jimin," Namjoon glares. This doesn't phase his friend at all. He's still beaming, even when he pops the fruit into his mouth.

"See for yourself," Jimin passes the paper sack to him.

Namjoon hesitantly takes it. Though he had obviously been curious about the contents, he thought the younger willingly gave up the item rather easily compared to how many times he had to ask.

Namjoon unfolds the bag, slowly. Glancing up at Jimin and meeting his amused stare for a brief second before peeking inside. He's immediately hit with a familiar scent, taking it in before digging inside.

His somewhat stern expression fades away. It's replaced by widened copper eyes and a grin as bright as the spotlights they often danced under. Jimin's stare goes straight to the older's soft dimpled cheeks, tempted to poke at least one of them.

"Jimin-ah, you went and bought more?" Namjoon pulls out one piece which is already neatly cut in half, revealing the filling inside. Not even a second passes when he starts stuffing his mouth with it.

"Yep," the younger swiftly slides off of the countertop, "so you can stop pretending to be mad at me."

"I wasn't pretending," he lies, words slightly muffled due to the pastry he's chewing on.

Jimin rolls his eyes, playfully. "Sure you tell yourself that, hyung."

"Seriously, thanks Jimin."

"It's no problem, hyung," he turns toward the entry way, stretching his arms over his head, "I'll be in my room if you need me."

Namjoon lets out a muffled "okay" as Jimin exits the kitchen in somewhat of a haste. He's not sure why the younger is in such a rush suddenly, but he doesn't question it much. Instead, he digs back into the bag in search of the other half of daanpatbbang, which is unfortunately not there.

"What the hell?" And suddenly, Namjoon's realizing exactly why Jimin hurried out of the room as quickly as he did. Once again, he had taken his bread. Except this time, he wasn't mad.

This time, he couldn't help but laugh.
