*3rd pov*
At a rainy night. Ciel and Madam Red were playing chess. "Is this really the time for a game of chess?" "Obsessing about it won't help you solve the case. Why not just leave it all to Sebastian and (y/n), dear?" (Y/n) was leaning against the wall listening to Ciel and Madam Red's conversation. "Cause he and she's simply my chess pieces. I'm the one who moves them by giving orders. But they're no ordinary pieces, they can move as many squares as they need to. Like that." Ciel move two nights in front as Madam Red was shocked. "Ahh! That was against the rules you know?" "Indeed, it would be if this was a game. But rules such as that have no true meaning in the real world. There are always knights who break the rules and pawns who betray. If you let your guard down, it's checkmate." At the killer's side, he just smirked, "Pff."
(I wanted to put the opening cause I don't know how else to start the beginning.)
"You must have had other options in life besides policing England's underworld. I'm sure my sister, your mother, wanted something else for you. And yet after their deaths, you returned to be the queen's guard dog. Is is because you're trying to avenge your parents murder?" "The need for revenge is a funny thing. It won't bring back the dead, nor will it bring them happiness." Madam Red looked at Ciel with sadness. "But then..." "To answer your question, I didn't return to the house of Phantomhive for my parents, I did it for myself. I want to find the people responsible for what happened, and I want to make them experience the same pain and humiliation that I suffered." Madam Red put her cup down and went to Ciel patting his head softly. "Hm. I still remember when you were born, though it seems to long ago. You were so tiny and fragile. I remember thinking 'no matter what, I have to protect him.' You know I was never able to have children. But there was you, and I've come to think of you as my own son. Which is why I wish you would quit this." Ciel slapped Madam Red's hand away from him. "This is a task I've chosen, it's still my choice to make and no one else's. I don't regret my decision, and I won't be coddled. By anyone."

I escorted Madam Red to the entrance along with Sebastian putting Madam Red's coat on. "I have it now, thank you." Madam turned to look at us, I gave her a concern look. "My lady?" "Promise me, may you both will never leave his side. This is a dangerous world for a boy, make sure he doesn't lose his way." Sebastian bowed down on one knee as I bowed standing. "Fear not. We swear, we shall stay by his side until the very end." I opened the door for Madam Red and saw Grell holding a umbrella for her. "I'm here to escort you back home, my lady."
Sebastian and I both entered inside of Ciel's room with the papers Sebastian has on his hand. "Well then?" Ciel question. "No matter how I look at it, the result is still the same." Ciel then sit on edge of the bed "yesterday's murder, the Viscount didn't do it." "Exactly, none of the people in his mansion could have done it either." I grabbed the papers from Sebastian, so I can throw them myself. "Indeed, no person could move that quickly. Anyway tomorrow we'll start." Ciel stopped and looked at us with surprised face. "Sebastian, (y/n), you did it."
"Of course we didn't my lord. Sebastian told you, he would never lie now and neither would I. Now involved in medicine, ties to secret societies or black magic. Lacking albeit's nights the bodies were found. The only human who fits our criteria is the Viscount Druitt."
"You both know more about this than you're letting on, don't you?" Sebastian put his hand against his heart while I threw the papers in the air. "But I'm simply one hell of a butler. As you know I only carry out those orders my master has given me. You need only say the words my lord and I become either your pawn or your knight. Now master, move me to check." Ciel turned to looked, waiting for my response. "I'll stay by your side. You will also use me as your pawn and knight. I'll be there to serve you, and to protect you from anything."
