Note from Annabelle

Hi, I'm Annabelle. To the ungifted eye, I look like a normal teenager, getting on with life and not having a care in the world. But that's only what normal people see. If someone had told me that my life would change paths between one heartbeat and the next, I would have laughed. From blissful to tragic, innocent to ruined? Please. I have a message for you: never take anything for granted and everything you do, do it without regret. I always hoped I would have a normal life, like any other teenager but I was wrong. You may not realise it, but life can change in a blink, a flash, a second; that's all it takes. And in my life? One chain of events lead to another, and another. I learnt that the hard way when my mother was taken, and my own life was put on the line. My life turned into the things of nightmares; where evil walks the earth. At dusk, these living dead...these vampires...emerge from the dark crevasses that litter our world and begin to hunt. What do they hunt? Us. The very people trying to stop death from breaking out, the people standing between peace and anarchy, unity and war. The vampires... they don't feel fear or know pain, but they hunger for the life they lost. There's only one way to kill them but I can't tell you how. You have to be shown. If I had another chance? I'd tell my mother I love her, say sorry one last time. And my father? I would have killed him when I'd had the chance. My name is Annabelle, and this is my story.
