"hello?" a raven-haired woman opened the door. she looked really nice and dolled up. jiwoo would have to ask her about her makeup and skincare routine sometime. her face looked a really annoyed, but she tried to put a smile on her face nonetheless. she was wearing nice blue jeans, with a lighter blue top. her hair was thrown into a braid.
"hello!" jiwoo responded enthusiastically. maybe she would be able to cheer up the older's mood. she knew that the two people moving in were both older, but not by a lot, so they'd be attending the same school.
"who are you exactly?"
"oh! i'm kim jiwoo. your neighbor," she smiled. "and i brought you and your roommate cookies!"
the older had a solemn look on her face, before smiling widely at the mention of cookies.
"i'm jung jinsoul. why don't you come in and hang out for a bit?" the girl- jinsoul- suggested, opening the door wider and gesturing for jiwoo to walk in. and she did. the pair walked to the kitchen and the older jumped onto the counter.
"my... roommate is a little agitated right now, so i'm sorry if she is rude or anything like that."
"i'm sure that it'll be fine," jiwoo smiled. she then remembered the basket she carried, setting it on the counter. "oh, here are the cookies i baked."
jinsoul grabbed a cookie, eyes widening at the amazing taste, "you baked these? these are the best cookies i-"
"jinsoul, i-" a brunette walked into the living room. "who's she?"
the brunette was... beautiful, to say the least. her hair looked like soft chocolate, while her eyes matched the food theme, looking like honey. speaking of her eyes, jiwoo felt like she could spend an eternity looking into those honey-like eyes. she looked like a princess- no, emperess- no... there was no word to describe her beauty. except maybe... angel? yes. an angel. she looked like an angel that had made a trip to earth.
who knew that someone could look so good in adidas sweatpants? the brunette wasn't wearing any makeup. very causal looking. though, nothing could ruin the beauty of the angel.
"jiwoo?" jinsoul spoke, snapping jiwoo out of her trance. the younger cursed at herself silently.
"yeah?"
"you zoned out," the angel spoke.
"oh! i'm sorry! i just... do that sometimes,"
"you're fine," the angel gave jiwoo a comforting smile. she held herself with such class...
"sooyoung-ah, try these cookies! they taste so good," jinsoul waved over to the counter.
the angel- sooyoung- walked over and grabbed a cookie from the basket. she raised it to her mouth and bit into it. wow... she even eats with such class...
"these are so good! where did you buy these?" the ang- sooyoung- turned to the youngest.
"i- um.... i made them..." jiwoo rubbed her arm sheepishly. why am i so awkward around her? why is my heart rate rising?
"you made these?"
jiwoo only nodded. she couldn't think of sooyoung as sooyoung. that would almost be treating the two as equals... and sooyoung was too amazing to be thought of as an angel. angel would have to do for now. at least in jiwoo's thoughts.
the angel and jinsoul seemed to avoid conversation with each other, probably due to the fact both seemed slightly agitated when jiwoo was there. she wondered what had happened between them.
either way, that night, jiwoo went home with two new friends. well, she made a friend and met an angel.
angel.
jiwoo wondered what life was like for angels.
well, she was a little scared because...
