Arcanum(On Break)

Chapter 1

 "What is this warmth that I'm feeling?" wondered ???. As he open his eyes, he saw a woman holding him as she talks to the man next to her. She then turn her head to see that ??? Is awake and  exclaim,"Oh husband, I think our little baby is awake."  The man turn to face to ??? and put up a smile as he saw that his child is awake.  

Then the mother ask,"What should we name him?" The father started thinking about what to call his son and then thought that maybe Aspen could work. He then ask his wife if Aspen can work as their son's name and she said that it sound nice as their child's name. ???(Aspen now) stare at them as his (new) parents are smiling at him. 

He thought what a strange feeling this is as he never felt this before. Aspen then smile back to his parents while making baby sounds. As he smiles, his eyes started to become heavy and felt sleepy. The mother noticing that Aspen is becoming sleepy and said to her husband that it is time for the baby to sleep. The mother stands up while holding Aspen in her hands, walk to the crib and gently place him onto the crib.

Five years later....

Aspen now five years old is currently getting ready for the day as one of his family's maid help him to button up his clothing. When he finished dressing up, he and the maid went down the stairs to the dining room. The maid excuse herself as she enter the kitchen and then Aspen went to the dining table.

At the dining table,  Aspen greeted his father as he take a seat at the table. His father was drinking his tea as he wait for the breakfast to be made and Aspen's mother is still upstairs getting ready for the day. While Aspen wait for the food to get ready, he ask his father about the thing that he told yesterday. The father answer Aspen's question, that today will be Aspen's first day being tutored by someone, so he would know more than his classmates when he starts school.

Aspen nod his head to the news and started to wonder what would he learn from the tutor. Then his mother shouted Aspen's name out as she enter the dining room. Aspen jumped a bit when his mother shouted and then quickly said hello to his mother.  As his mother went to her seat, one of the maids came out of the kitchen and said that breakfast is ready. When they got the breakfast, they ate quietly and when they finished, they brought the plates to the maids where they went into the kitchen to clean it. 

After breakfast was finished, Aspen walk with his father to the study room as Aspen did not know where it was. His father told him this is where he and his tutor would be in  as Aspen learn and study from the tutor. After saying that, the father left the room and Aspen sat down waiting for the tutor to come. A few minutes had passed, Aspen started to hear voices outside of the door. Then the door opened, a young man enter the room with Aspen's father.

Aspen's father pull his hand out to the direction of Aspen and introduce that Aspen is his son. Then the young man introduce himself as Aspen's tutor and his name is Lucas Sage. Aspen gave a smile and waved hello to his tutor. After the hello, the father left them alone so the lesson could start. Lucas cough a bit and then shortly after, started the lesson. Lucas pull out some parchments and wrote some math questions on it with few strategies in solving them. Aspen tried some and solved them with little effort. Lucas look a bit surprise and commented that Aspen is smart for his age. 

Lucas then made harder questions for Aspen to solve and Aspen struggling a bit with the ones that are very long. Lucas laugh a bit and help Aspen to do the harder math questions. Then, Lucas smiled and said he want to show Aspen something cool. Aspen now curious and ask Lucas what he is going to show. Lucas lift up his finger and whisper a word which after saying the word, a small ball of fire came out. Aspen now excited, ask if Lucas could teach him how he did it. 

Lucas laugh again and said of course he would teach Aspen this simple trick. After Aspen listen to the steps, Aspen tried it which the spell succeed, maybe too much. As a big ball of fire come out of Aspen's finger and Lucas complemented on Aspen's succession on the Candle ball spell. 

After that, the lesson was over and Lucas left the place for the day as for the next two days, he would be in the capital. Aspen ran to his parent showing what he learn and they was happy that their little son is so talented. Aspen now curious about this magic stuff, and seek off to the family's private library. He went through sections and then he found one of the book about magic. He read it and of course he didn't completely understand it, he is five. He then tried one of the spell in the book and it sort of work as it did cause a small patch of flowers to appear but it is a spell to cause a giant carnivorous plant to appear. His parent then found him and saw that there is a patch of flowers on the floor. They ask him if he is the one who done it and he answer truthfully that yes he is the one who did it. 

They say that he should probably do it with his tutor, so it would be more safe and monitored. They also said to him that it is bedtime and then he was transfer to his bedroom where he slept peacefully.
