Shep."Are you ok daddy you look sad" Sheppard asks me.

I'm watching Harry Potter with my two sons, and I realise I have tears in my eyes.

R. "Yeah I'm fine shep, just you know hayfever"

Locke."Sure" looke smirks at me
and has another handful of popcorn.

R."Oi pass that over here".

I take a large handful of popcorn.
Why do I let it get to me like that? After all this time? Always, yes allways. I have known link nearly all my life, and my love for him is just getting stronger!

When I was a young boy, I thought that that's just how it feels to be friends. As a teenager I thought I'm just confused, its a phase, it will pass, but I didn't fancy any of the other boys, just link.
I started dating girls, having one night stands, trying desperately to get rid of these feelings, I have for him. I was so jealous whenever he had a girlfriend, I wanted it to be me.
Then I met Jesse, and it was different, I fell head over heels in love with her.
My feelings for link got smaller, not gone, just smaller.
I thought after the first child its bound to be different, that the butterflies would go away. No still there!
The boys keep me busy, and don't get me wrong ,I wouldn't change them for the world, I never want to be without them! You've know him since first grade, if anything was going to happen it would of happened by now. I notice the end credits on the screen.

R. "Right boys bed"

"Dad" both the boys say in unison.

R."What, you have school tomorrow".

Looke." you have work tomorrow, and that's even earlier" looke points out I smile

R."Yes but I'm a grown up ".
"And the only good thing about being a grown up is getting to tell my kids what to do, now go and brush your teeth or... "

I picked up a strawberry trizzler and waved it at the boys like a wand.

R." I'll turn you into a frog"

Sheppard giggled, looke sighed

then they both ran upstairs
