Chapter 2: Leaving My House Forever

Today I woke up to a person knocking on my door. I got up slowly and unlocked the door. Standing outside of my door was Mrs. June. She was the lady who was going to be taking me to the orphanage.

I grabbed my bags and then put them in the boot (trunk for Americans) of the car. I finished putting ever thing in the car and hopped in. The lady was trying to make small talk with me but I fell asleep as soon as I got in the car.

When I awoke I was at the orphanage. The orphanage was called Summer Oaks Orphanage. I was an okay looking place. The path had to be redone and then the building has to be painted.
I walked in ahead of Mrs. June and I waited for her at the reception.

When the old lady (she isn't really old) reached the desk she showed me my room and where the toilets were and all that rif raf. When I entered my room I saw a girl sitting on the bed opposite of mine.

I introduced myself and she seemed nice. "Hi my name is Clementine (lol. Walking Dead reference) but everyone calls me Clem. Its my nickname."

She was a nice girl and we became really good friends quickly. She helped me unpack my bags and then I got settled in. We watched youtube together. We decided to watch Pewdiepie. We found out that we each love Pewdiepie and Rhett and Link.

We started making small talk until Mrs. June came in and told us it was time for tea. When we both reached the hall it was packed with all the other kids in the dorms.

We both sat next to each other and started talking again. We had to wait for the food to be served. I grabbed out my phone and checked all my messages. There were no new messages. I felt like a loner. Apart from Clementine.

Soon all the kids quietened down and all the food was served in front of us. A boy came and sat by me. He had short brown hair and shiny blue eyes. He was kinda cute.

Clementine pulled me closer to her. She told me not to go near him. Apparently he was a weirdo. I didn't mind a weirdo because I was a weirdo myself and so was Clem.

After dinner everyone went back to their rooms. Clem and I went back to watching youtube. After around five minutes of watching youtube there was a knock on the door.

I told Clem that I would get it. At our door was the same boy that sat by me. He introduced himself to me. His name was Lee (Walking Dead reference).

He was rather cute. Clem came to the door and told him to go away. He walked away looking at the ground the whole time till he reached his room.

I asked Clem why I couldn't talk to him. She wouldn't tell me. I kept my mouth shut until Mrs. June came in and told us to both go to sleep. She did that with all of the other rooms.

I asked Clem if she would tell me and she said that she would... In the morning.
