Charlotte
I pull up to Starbucks and see my besties waiting for me. I get out of my car, lock it and run over to them. "Hey guys!" I say a little breathlessly. Don't judge me, it's too early to run! "How was it last night?" Harper asked. "Great!" I replied. "He had tons of experience, if you know what I mean." I winked, and they all laughed. "Anyway, Lola, how was your night?" I asked. She visibly brightened. "I didn't get blackout drunk for once! Only a little bit tipsy!" "That's awesome!" I cheered. "How was your night Syd?" She rolled up her sleeves, wincing at the pain it caused her. "It wasn't great. My parents were screaming at each other again, and..." She motioned down at the bloody bandages wrapped around both her wrists. "Syd, you promised us you wouldn't do it again." Harper whispered. "I know, but I couldn't help it. I had to do something." Harper's eyes welled up with tears. She was doing so well, she hadn't cut for almost a month... I looked down at my phone. "Shit. We're going to be late."
