2. Welcome to my Life- [pic of Luke]

Chapter 2:

After Jackie ran away, my mom died. The next day when my parents found out Jackie ran away, my mom drove around the city and never came home. We got a call from the hospital telling us she died in a car accident. Even though my mom was abusive, we loved one another. Jackie never came back, dad started traveling, and for the last two months of the school year i was depressed. I kinda turned emo but i didnt do all that stuff with cutting. Instead I fought. I was a mess after all that. Well, that was until I met Luke.

**Back to the present**

I was sitting in class chewing on the end of my pen. I was staring at the clock above the door intently waiting for school to end. Today is the last day of school. Finally! My bestfriend Nelly was next to me tapping her pencil on the desk. She was staring at the clock too.

I felt someone poke me with their pencil on my side and I jumped. I turned around to face Luke smiling innocently at me. We've been dating for two months and he is just amazing. In Hillside High School hes the 'Golden Boy' around here. He is sweet and charming. Every student and teacher adores him.

"You and Nelly look constipated." he said trying to stiffle his laugh. Nelly and I gasped.

"We do not!" we screamed at him. He was laughing now.

"Girls! Calm down. You'll be out of this school soon." the teacher yelled.

"Haha you called him a girl." i said pointing at Luke immaturely. He was just smiling innocently again at the teacher.

"I was only talking about you and Nelly. Luke did nothing wrong." See! i told you teachers adore this boy.

The bell rang, finally! I dumped all my stuff in my backpack while Nelly and Luke took their time.

"Come one! Its summer! We should be doing something fun and not be in this stupid school!" I said frustrated, stomping my foot.

They just laughed in my face.

"Hey. Lets have a sleepover tonight." Nelly said to me. We were in the parking lot now.

"Actually, im bringing my sexy girlfriend on a date tonight." Luke said wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me against his body. He was looking at me with loving eyes and I was smiling up at him.

"Sorry Nells. I have a date tonight." i told her grinning but keeping my eyes on Luke. Then there was a flash. Yep, it was Nelly taking a picture of us. We ignored it as always.

"This is definitely going on facebook." she said.

Luke leaned towards my face while i wrapped my arms around his neck and leaned up. He was gently kissing me and I wanted to stay like this forever.

We pulled away after another flash.

"This is going on facebook too." We laughed at her silliness and walked towards Lukes car.

Before getting in Luke tugged at my hand. He caressed my face with one hand and looked at my eyes. He leaned down but not for another kiss. He whispered something in my ear that got me grinning like a kid on Christmas morning.

"I love you." he said to me. He kissed my cheek and got in the drivers seat.

The date we had that night was amazing and forever locked in my head as a sweet memory.

**3 days before summer ends**

Nelly and I were in Starbucks in the mall trying to get hyper off of coffee. I wish Luke was here with us but he said he had to help his dad with something.  All three of us would've had fun doing crazy stuff around the mall.
