Chapter 1: The Manor

It's been a while since you traveled the cave with the monkeys. Illinois abandoned you, he did warn you about falling in love with him. You wanted to go on another adventure, so, you called base to see if there was something that Illinois himself might go for.

Y/n POV

I was sitting in my chair, debating whether to call Illinois' base since he abandoned me. Welp, I give up! Why is it such a big deal? Whyyy? As I called his base, all I could hear was the ringing of the phone, then, a familiar smug voice answered, "Hello, Illinois here." 

"Illinois it's me y/n" 

"Y/n it's been awhile hasn't it." He says awkwardly, "Look if you've come to yell at me for abandoning you I'm truly sorry, "he said softly. 

"Heh, quite the opposite actually. I came to see if we could go on another adventure." 

"REALLY!" he yelled. 

"Ack meh ears," I said throwing the phone. "So where we going?" I asked.

"I heard there was an ancient ruby up in a haunted mansion," he said, "Are you scared of a couple ghost?" 

I paused for a moment and thought about it. "Sounds like fun," I said, "When can I see you?" 

"Eager are we," he said in a smug, flirtatious voice. 

"When I find you, I'm going to kill you," I said in a playful voice 

"Hey calm down tiger, we can meet up tomorrow at xx:xx, and, I should mention the mansion is actually quite close to your house so meat me at (random park).

"Ok, see you there," I hung up a fun, small smile on your face.

~The next day~

I packed everything that I might need. Clothes, flashlight, water, snacks, rope, first aid kit, etc. The bag might not be big enough, but at least I feel safe. "Okay!" I told myself, "I am going on another adventure! And hopefully...." I went to deep thought, "Maybe I can have a shot with him..."

I drove a couple of miles to (random park) and there, off the distance, I see him. He waves and smiles at me. I wave back and unlocked my car doors. Illinois hops in and gives me the directions to the place.

When we got there, shivers went down my spine. The mansion was huge and old style like. I looked at Illinois and he had a big smile on his face, "Ready doll?" 

I nodded and parked the car in a nearby forest. We started walking to the door, noticing a sign that read 'Markiplier Manor'. With a soft push, I opened the door. As shivers ran down my spine something felt ,well, wrong. Then I remembered, this is where the millionaire Mark Fischbach died, some say he haunts this place. 

"You ready doll, the gem should be on the top floor." 

"I'm ready as I'll ever be..."
