[ONE SHOT] Happy Birthday Free!

"Guys! I heard footsteps! He's coming!" Valt shout whispered.

The door creaks open and all of the BC Sol's peoples shouts, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY FREE!"

"Guys, it's just me," said Trad while holding a present for Free.

"Huh? It's already past eight. Where is your boyfriend, (y/n)?" Sasha asks with her hands folded.

"I don't know. I told him to come to the cafeteria before seven..." You look down with a hint of disappointment.

Free is one hour late. You know that he is training in the woods as tomorrow he will have a match with his strongest rival, Lui. Maybe he feels the pressure that prevents him to come here on time.

Everyone looks at you with sympathy. Everyone in the BC Sol knows how long you were planning to make a surprise birthday party for Free. You love him so much. He always there for you even when you are happy or sad. He is someone you really care so much. For exchange, you wanted to make a party for him but it seems he already forgotten your promise with him.

"Heh. You know what, how about we just continue with the party without him. I doubt he won't be here at all," you force to smile and walk out from the cafeteria.

BC Sol's players look at you with guilt. It wasn't their fault but seeing you forcing yourself to smile even though your heart was hurt made them feel sad.

It's not you at all. You always stand up and do something but in this case, you run away from it.

"That's it! I'm talking to Free!" Rantaro and Valt jolted up and run to the door. Chris quickly stops them.

"No. I think I shall talk to him. It's for the best," Chris opens the door and walks out before closing the door again.

"I will coax (y/n). You're coming, Honey?" Sasha asks her little sister. Honey quickly nods and went to your room.

/Into the Woods//

"Free? Where are you?" Chris called.

"...0... 101..." Said someone with a panting voice.

"Free! There you are!" Chris runs to him.

"Oh. Hey..." He looks at her and jumps to the ground.

"What took you so long? (y/n) waited for you like more than an hour!" Chris scolded.

"It past seven already?" Free asks.

Chris facepalmed herself.

"What's the deal? We're just going to eat together in the cafeteria," he tilted his head.

"What? Free. Don't you remember what day is today is?" Chris asks disbelief.

"Monday?"

"No, you idiot! November! 11th November! Your birthday! (y/n) planned to make a birthday party for a month and you, yourself, forget your own birthday?!" Chris scolded.

Free widens his eyes. There is no wonder the BC Sol's group chat keep sending him Happy Birthday stickers. It's his birthday!

"Now, (y/n) wanted us to continue the party without you before walking to her room with disappointment," Chris adds more.

Free looks down and slaps his forehead. "What have I done?" He mumbles to himself.

Chris sighs. "You still have time to coax her,"

Free looks at her with determined eyes. He then dashes to your room after thanking Chris.

"Sasha, Honey. I'm okay. You don't have to worry about it," you smile.

"That smile! Nope! No! That smile is a forced smile! Stop," Sasha scolds.

(y/n) sweats drop and continue scrolling her Instagram. You stop at a picture of Free, who playfully kissing your cheek while taking a selfie with you. You smile alone thinking how red you are after he posted the photo on your Instagram. It's embarrassing but you don't want to delete it. At least the photo will show everyone that Free is yours.

Knock! Knock!

"I'll get the door," Honey walks to the door and opens it to find Free standing in front of it.

"Is (y/n) here...?" He rubs his neck.

"Okay, (y/n). I think you need to talk with Free alone. The two of us will be waiting in the cafeteria," Sasha said and closes the door.

There was an awkward silence until Free broke it.

"I'm sorry, (y/n)," he apologizes. He sat on your bed beside you, who still not looking at him.

"... Don't be..." You glance at him. "I know you wanted to beat Lui in the upcoming match. I should not bother you with this party that does not bring any benefits to your training," you mumble but loud enough to be heard by Free.

"(y/n)..." He kisses your forehead. "Don't say that. It's my fault that I got caught by time and accidentally forgotten my own birthday," he kisses you once more.

"You... Forgot your own birthday?" You said disbelief.

"I know. I know. Don't scold me. I can take it if Chris scolds me but not you," he awkwardly said.

You giggle and hug him.

"Happy birthday, Free... I love you..." A tear fell from your eye.

"Thanks and I love you too. I love you more than anything," he hugs back and kisses your cheek, nose and lastly, your lips.

"Come on. Let's go," you grab his hand and walk to the door.

"Wait," he stops you. Before you could even face him, he carries you like a princess and makes way to the cafeteria.

"Free! Put me down! This is embarrassing!" You blush.

"But it seems that you enjoying it," he smirks.

"This is really a pain to have a cute boyfriend like you..." You sigh and smile.

In episode 23 of BBG, there's Free in Fumiya's, aka the man of stealing Fafnir's design, flashback. Fumiya watching Free's battle in tv but the funny part is that the battle only shows Free's body and his Geist Fafnir.

Not even his eyes can be seen in that episode!
