We got to our seats in the plane and settled in. Stephanie and I had gotten 2 seats on the opposite side of the plane, away from our parents. Not like we minded.
"I cannot believe you!" Stephanie said.
"What?" I looked at her. Her eyes burning with hurt and anger.
"Seriously!?! You've got to be kidding me right now!" She yelled in a hushed voice.
Then it dawned on me... Harry. I didn't introduce her, never even mentioned her.
"Oh my gosh. Steph! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to!" I knew that wasn't going I solve anything... She just stared at me. "Look, I know you're going to hate me for a few days, but what if it would have been you, and instead of Harry it was Louis. You would have done the same exactly thing." And with that, I turned from her and laid my head against the window.. This was going to be a long flight.
-------45 minutes later--------
"Why are you texting me?" Stephanie asked, turning to me.
"I didn't." I patted my pockets for my phone, "Steph! I can't find my phone!"
"Then whose texting me?" A flash of fear spread across her face. We scooted as close to each other as possible in our seats, and she opened the text.
.:Hello, I hope I have the right Stephanie, there is only one in her phone, but it's Harry. When I ran into Leslie her phone must have fallen into my bag. I'll return it as soon as possible.:.
"That's a relief." I chuckled.
"I guess, you would have died without that thing." She laughed too.
"So you forgive me?" I looked at her.
"Yea, you were right. I would have done the same thing if it'd been me and Louis. And plus, you're my best friend, I couldn't stay mad if I wanted to." She said, nudging me.
"Good." I hugged her. Then, I felt a tap on my shoulder.
"Hello, love." I was now staring into the most beautiful green eyes.
"Hi," before I forgot. " Harry, this is Stephanie."
"Nice to meet you, love." Harry gave Stephanie his famous grin and stuck out his hand for Stephanie to take. She shook it. "Your phone." Harry said turning to me, phone in hand. I held my hand out for it, and he just stared at me... His green eyes not dropping my gaze.
"Do you want to join us?" I asked, eyes not once leaving his.. Without saying anything he sat next to me. "I'll take that as a yes then?" I chuckled.
All three of us talked, it was a normal conversation until Harry brought up my phone background.
"You're a good actress you know. Pretending you didn't know who I was." Stephanie laughed at Harry's statement.
"Leslie, are you serious?" Stephanie busted into laughter and looked at me.
"I thought he'd like to meet a girl that didn't throw herself at him. He's a guy. I tried to have a normal conversation with him, as a friend." I watched Harry from the corner of my eye, his smirk faded when I said "as a friend". What does that mean? I thought to myself..
"I guess, but if it was Louis, I would have freaked!" Stephanie sounded excited. This comment made Harry laugh.
"What, are you jealous?" Stephanie was now glaring at Harry.
"Not even close, babe." He grinned at her.
He just called her babe.. I felt a pit form in my stomach.
Our conversation lasted until Stephanie decided to go to sleep. Then it was Harry and I. We ended up talking about Harry's cat, of all things. Harry's cats name is Molly, what a cute name.. Our conversation ranged from everything and anything. I was in mid-sentence when an unexpected yawn came from my lips.
"Tired, babe?" He looked tired himself.
"A bit." I looked at him with a smile on my face.
"Go to sleep."
"I'd rather talk to you." I said honestly.
"I'm not going anywhere, I'll be here when you wake." His green eyes full of sleep.
Without hesitation I leaned my head onto his shoulder. I fought sleep.. The whole time.
"Leslie?" Harry's voice rang in my ears.
I hummed in response.
"Why aren't you sleeping?" He chuckled.
"I'm afraid I'll wake up and this, this all would've been a dream." I said sitting up.
"I'm not going anywhere." He placed his hand on my knee and I felt my blood rise to my face. And with that I laid my head back on his shoulder... I felt Harry adjust in his set and he rested his head on top of mine. That's how I feel asleep.
