Chapter 1

Running through darkened, ash filled hallway. Debris overwhelming her lungs, passing door after door trying to out-run him. Violet tripped over her own feet quickly looking around regaining balance, she got up and brushed the pain off and continued to run.

But reluctantly her escape came to a stop cause there he is, in front of her as if setting him on fire didn't ever occur, you can just tell by his smirk as if he was mentally mocking her like "I got you now".

She started to take a few steps back before turning and running the opposite direction of this monster of a man.

"Now come on, I thought you'd know better than that." His voice echoed through the halls

"Leave me alone, Luc!" Violet Screamed running away with tears blurring her vision.

She didn't stop to see if he's behind her.

"This is your entire fault I'm here! I should've never listened." She said still running. She tries to wipe the tears away from her face, doing so she trips again. Instead of getting back up she rolled over and pulled her knees to her chest and sobbed.

She was too wrapped up in her own sorrow that she didn't notice the thing she fell over was a burnt corpse of one of the nurses. It lifted its head looking at Violet, letting a smile form it way on the nurse's distorted face. It started crawling towards Violet at a fast pace.

She became hushed at the sounds of shuffling, quickly becoming alarmed she got on her feet.

Ready to take off again until a burnt hand grabbed her ankle pulling her back down.

Violet looked at the thing holding on tightly to her. She Let out a scream and started thrashing around her limbs. "Get the fuck off me!" Her screams were ignored.

The corpse swiftly got up off the ground and started dragging Violet by her ankles, back the way she came from.

"Please stop!" Violet whispered as her voice grew hoarse.

But it kept dragging her ignoring her pleas, minutes later the nurse came to an abrupt stop.

"I got the girl sir" She said dropping Violet ankles.

Luc stepped into view. He walked over to the nurse and patted her on the head. She purred from his touched and moved closer.

Violet laid frozen in complete horror watching as the skin on the nurse heal and all the burns disappear.

"W-Why? No, what are you?" She managed out.

"Now, now how could you forget? Think back 12 years ago." He said grinning.

Violet couldn't help letting her mind drift back..

12 years ago..

"Violet! Wait for me! Please." Violet's younger sister Rosemary, yelled running breathlessly behind.

"No Hurry up!" Violet yelled to her sister.
"I'm going to tell!"

"Sure you are now be quiet, we're almost there." Violet said enthusiastically.

Even though Violet was still upset at her parents, she couldn't help but from feeling joy about going to her tree house, even though it's more like an abandoned shed. But hey a kid could only dream. And that's exactly what she did, she would imagine that as her home and she had loving parents that treated her well.
