You know how in the movies they have that cliche popular girl moving and she leaves everything behind and she has trouble making friends but she does and then she has the star football player as her boyfriend, and everything is now perfect?
Well, that wasn't me, that could never be me because ladies and gentalmen, I'm not normal and even if I was normal I still couldn't be. Most of you are probably wondering, 'What the hell is this girl talking about?' Well I'm sorry let me travel back to the beginning: my birth.
I was born in a hospital like most babies, unless you were stranded somewhere and had to deliver ina taxi cab or something. I never met my mother, I always guessed that she was a pregnant teenager that had to give up her baby, because she couldn't take care of it or she was to selfish to take care of me. I don't hold a resentment over my mother for giving me up.
I only hoped that she shed at least one tear when she had to give me away to the doctors. As for my father, I always guessed that he was one of those deadbeat fathers that didn't want to take care of the baby and just ran away when my mother found out she was pregnant. Teenage boys don't mature in seconds anyway. If it were me, I would actually expect that.
So there I was, a little Sophia Maria Ashby, laying in the little baby cradels that doctors put you in after you were just born.
As you all could of guessed, I was now going to an orphanage with other kids that shared my situation or something similar to it. Ms. Ken. She had long grey hair with bifocals to help her see. She was the mother figure in my life and never would look down on me because I had know parents.
My school life? Thats wasnt the best either. I always got picked on because I was weird. But really I would call myself weird. Things like that would always happened to me. When I was eleven, I was standing outside a store, and some kids came up and started picking on me. I had touched a little bit of the glass and it all froze. But it was ninety eight degrees outside.
When I was forteen, I started figured out I could control the elemtns when I accidentally set my room on fire. So ever since then, I could control the elements and make things appear. I guess I would call myself a witch.
Somehow, I started figuring out that werewolfs, and vampires, and demons, were real also. It was all foegn to me. Hell, being a witch myself, was foreign to me and I had to say that I didn't like it. It wasn't something that you could just look up in a book like other things, and I hated that you have to fugure it out for yourself.
Now, since I was seventeen getting ready to leave the orphanage and I was moving to Montana to finish school. Montana wasn't really the most desriable places to go butit was out of this city. The city that I was used to and had known for most of my life. I neded to be somewhere knew, and Montana just seemedto fill in the requirments.
So now I was packing my things into my tiny car, that I had managed to totally pay for, by working different jobs. Ms. Ken looked at me with a sad smile and pulled me into a tight hug. She pulled back, wiping a small tear away from her face.
"Be Safe," She said to me with a small smile. I smiled back slightly. She was probably the most caring person that I've ever met in my life, and I would really always be grateful that she was in my life, and raised me.
"Okay," I said to her with a smile and a nod.
I turned to Damian who was looking very sad and upset, I forced a smile, knowing that this was probably harder for me then him. I pulled him into a hug, trying not to let some tears escape my eyes.I didn't ant to start crying because then it would just be hard to stop, and a whole mess in general.
"I'm going to miss you Soph," He said to me petting my hair.
"I'll miss you to Damian," I said to him and then pulled away with a slight smile.
"I promise that I will come and visit you as a soon as I can," Damian said to me, with a grin and I knew hat he was serious. He always keeps him promises. I smiled.
"Thanks Buddy," I said to him using the phase that I always said to my best friend.
I pulled my keys from my pocket and turned away from them, opening the drivers door, and got inside my lttle blue car. I put the keys in the ignition and the car came to a low hum. I waved slightly at them, and they waved back with a smile.
I drove off leaving them behind, leaving my past behind, hoping to start a new future. Montana Hopefully you'll be better, then what I had.
