New Face

The main detectives sat in their usual hang out spot in a cafe place, a cafe they call 'Base'. They sipped their coffees and spoke about what the possibilities of cases they could receive, just then...the cafes door bell rang and a young male came walking in. He had raven black hair that was styled into a coma-like fashion, but both sides were parted to show off his forehead. His black eyes focused on the seven detectives that already sat on the cream leather seats, he wore a black suit, a black turtle neck shirt underneath with a silver chain around his neck, he had black suit trousers on that hugged his ankles tightly but not too tight - skinny trousers. A pair of leather black shoes was on his feet and around his wrist was a silver chain, he stood at 6'1" - staring down at the seven sitting detectives. 

"Oh? How may we help you?" Jaesuk spoke up, raising his eyebrows as he stared over at the younger looking male, "I'm Lee Hanjae, I'm a lone detective usually, but I decided to join a team of detectives." The male spoke, he had a slightly deep/soft voice and he tucked his hands into his jackets pockets. "I take it you've seen our flyer then?" Jongmin asked, Hanjae rose the piece of folded paper out of his pocket and nodded his head, "Come on over here." Sejeong smiled towards Hanjae, he took slow steps towards the group and sat down on the seat Sejeong gestured to. 

"We've had some betrayals in our past, betrayals we will not mention. How do we know we can trust you?" Minyoung questioned, "If I want to do something criminal, I wouldn't come to your team to hide out until it's time to attack. I wouldn't say I was detective before either." Hanjae reasoned with her, she nodded her head slowly and said, "But what if you're saying this to cover up the fact you are indeed a criminal hiding out in the midst of us detectives?" She tilted her head, "Then I'd say you all have some serious paranoia problems for so called detectives." Hanjsae answered, causing some of the detectives to laugh and some of them to feel a bit uneasy around him. 

"I can tell by looking at Jaesuk that he is thinking the same way as you, Minyoung. He doubts my answers, my reason of being here. But I can assure you, I am not here to cause trouble." Hanjae looked back to Minyoung and studied her facial expressions before shooting her his famous sweet smile, she didn't know whether to smile back or continue her poker face expression. 

"So Hanjae, have you solved any cases recently?" Jaewook asked, adjusting his glasses up on his nose bridge, "Yes, I have. Recently I solved the case of a missing five year old, turned out her aunt kidnapped her because she lost a child and found it unfair that he sister could live happily, so she stole their child." Hanjae summed it up for the seven detectives, they looked quite impressed but still wary. 

"Which reminds me, how good are you with your money?" Hanjae questioned, "...Can you word that properly for us to understand?" Jongmin laughed lightly, "Sure, have you got enough money as a detective team?" Hanjae asked, "Ah, we're broke, what about you? Have you got any money?" Jaesuk questioned back, "Not to spare within the group, but I did bring us a case to work on." Hanjae leaned back into his chair and this caught all their attention, they stared at Hanjae liked hungry hyenas - impatiently waiting to hear the case he had brought. 

"A client called me, asking for help. She actually begged me, I told her I can take the case on but after hearing the whole story...I couldn't do it alone. She gave me these details, her name is Moon Hyuna, she is 32 years old and she has an ex-husband who is out for revenge, he has been sending her messages through a video call site called Skype, threatening messages too. She continues to make new accounts to escape him, but he somehow keeps finding her." Hanjae stopped as he noticed the others processing the long amount of information he was telling them, they gave him a nod to continue and so he did, "Hyuna has been moving around to different houses, further and further away from her ex-husband, but he is following her. He told her that if she moves again - he will kill her. Even if she plans to move, he will kill her. We need to find him before he does kill her." Hanjae finished.
