Warnings: some smut

Daryl and I had a pretty good friendship, no feelings just we would keep each other company. He knew all my secrets and he would open up about his tough childhood past. Everyone would always whistle at us or tell us we were a good couple but we wouldn't mind.

He bit a piece of his beef jerky and nudged me with his elbow to eat some.

"I'm not hungry."

Daryl stared at me, "I don't care, eat."

I groaned, "Fine, you're annoying."

"You love me." winked Daryl

"I do hubby," I said giving him a big smile.

Daryl smiled, "Stop, now let's go hunt."

I followed him like a puppy following its owner, I loved getting invited to hunt with him.

"Bye lover birds!" yelled out Carol

I turned around a flipped her off, "Leave us alone!"

Some hours passed and we had caught a few squirrels, not much but it would at least put some stuff in our stomach.

We had sat down on the ground, I laid my head on his chest, listening to him speak about the adventures he had with his brother, Merle.

"You don't have to talk to me about him if it hurts."

"It's fine, I trust you and want to share it with you," replied Daryl running his fingers through my hair.

I turned around and faced him, I looked into his bright blue eyes, something about him always made my heart skip a beat. I placed a hair strand behind his ear.

"What? Do I got some dirt on me?" asked Daryl

He always hates affection but with me he lets it happen.

"No, I just want to do something."

I leaned in and kissed his lips, he was surprised with what I did but leaned in. I removed my lips and stood up.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that."

Daryl stood up and grabbed my hand, "It's okay. Let's head back."

The walk back was something I dreaded, awkward silence. Just as we arrived at Alexandria I headed straight to the house we were all sharing, I headed up to an empty room. I threw myself into the bed.

"Fuck, why did I have to do that?!" I yelled at myself.

I stripped myself naked and went inside the bathroom. I turned the water on and waited till the hot water came on. Stepping inside, I groaned as the hot water hit my back, it felt nice as my sore muscles calmed down. I shampooed my hair and shaved everywhere. I was about to apply soap to my body when the shower curtain was pulled open.

I was about to scream when I noticed it was Daryl, "Oh my gosh, some privacy?"

Daryl smirked as he pulled the curtain closed, I heard him remove his belt, soon enough he reopened the curtain and he was naked too. My eyes trained down to somewhere they shouldn't and went straight up to his eyes. He stepped inside and grabbed the soap from my hands, he started moving the soap bar in circles all around my body. I gasped as he got to my chest. I was not used to this touching and he knew I was a virgin in everything.

"D-Daryl, wait

"D-Daryl, wait. What's this?"

"Is it okay? I've realized what's holdin' us back? I love you (y/n). I want to be more then friends." said Daryl

I smiled, "I love you too Daryl. And yes it's okay."

He smirked as he pushed me against the cold shower wall, I felt the hairs on my neck stand up as he leaned in and kissed my lips. Our tongues fought for dominance but he won. I moaned as he started trailing down my body with his fingers...

We laid on the bed, I smiled as I felt his heart beating.

"Who knew they were right, huh?"

"Let's show them you're mine," said Daryl

"Really? You don't want to hide it?"

We stood up and started changing into our clothes. Daryl tied his shoes and walked over to me.

"I never want to hide you," said Daryl kissed my forehead.

We walked down the stairs, holding hands.

"Now, we wouldn't have guessed you guys together but you guys sure made some noises up there." laughed Carol

Daryl and I turned bright red.

"We didn't know you were home," mumbled Daryl

"It's fine, you guys better wash that bed," smirked Carol

I nodded as I pulled Darly outside into the porch.

I looked at him and started laughing, "Wow, next time we check nobody is home."
