four !

i felt a pair of soft lips on mine.

holy shit.

after like a few seconds, i felt the pair of lips leave mine. i opened my eyes and looked at asher. i was smiling like a dork. and he was smiling too.

"you guys can open your eyes now."

they all looked around, to see who he could've kissed. i looked over to peyton, who looked mad. "excuse me i need to use the restroom." i said. i pulled out my phone and texted jayden.

"excuse me i need to use the restroom." i said. asher turned to me and smiled. i got up from the floor.
i left the room with a huge smile.

i walked into the bathroom, and saw jayden arrive after i did.
"so, why did you need me to come here, you said it was really important?" jayden said.
i smiled. "yeah it's really important." i said. "asher and i kissed like literally less than five minutes ago." i said. jayden smiled and started jumping around the bathroom. "oh my god oh my god!!! wait that was your first kiss! holy crap! yay i'm so proud of you!" she said, continuing her gesticulations. "wait, do you have a crush on asher?" she asked. "no, it was just a meaningless kiss. i don't like him." i lied.

i really wish that kiss meant something to him. because it meant a lot to me.

"anyways we should go, your teacher is probably wondering why you're taking so long." i said. she nodded and walked out of the restroom. i looked at myself in the mirror and smiled.

asher angel.

asher angel was the only thing on my mind.

i walked back into the ASB and it was pretty quiet. which was strange, but i liked it. they were still sitting in a circle so i'm assuming that they were still playing, but peyton was gone. lily chee coughed in attempt of getting rid of the awkwardness. i still don't know why it was awkward. i sat down in a small gap in between asher and anna.

"why is it so awkward?" i asked anna. "because everyone-" she started to say, until the bell rang. "i'll tell you at lunch, see ya later" she said. "actually, i have to work, do you?"

(authors note/ anna and will have ASB but they don't have 0 period, and let's just pretend that lilia and jack don't have zero period but they have ASB and Spanish. that might not make sense but whatever they all have ASB but like different periods of that makes sense?)

"um no but we can all meet up at the ASB and wait for you." she replied. i nodded and walked with asher, to spanish.

we sat down at our usual table and lilia was already there. i sat down and asher sat on the seat beside me. jack approached us. "what's up j?" he said, setting his backpack down on the desk. i smiled.
"well, currently the roof" i said. he looked at me.
"oh wow j, real cool" he replied, i laughed.

i looked over to asher who looked completely confused. "what?" i asked.
"why'd he call you j?" he asked.

well, fuck.

"oh um. because my name starts wit a j." i said, hoping that he wouldn't ask.
"but your name is annie, isn't it?"he asked.

gosh is he really that stupid?

"annie is my nickname. and my name starts with a j" i said. "i just don't like my name" i said.

asher simply nodded. thank god he didn't ask me anything. he smiled.

after a while, we talked and asher helped my finish our current spanish packet. but while we were talking i felt a hand grab mine.

i looked up and saw asher smiling. i smiled at the thought of our hands intertwined with each other. i could literally feel my cheeks heating up.

my heart was beating so fast i felt like it was about to pop out of my chest.
