I rush to the headquarters after hearing the emergency siren through out the buildings of the mafia that I worked for.
It was named the gazers . Weird name? I know right that's what i thought as well when I first started working for them. It was like a family.
I don't know ,anyways, I'm not used to having a family
"Eve, hurry up we are going to have an urgent meeting at boss's office RIGHT NOW!!"
Adam shouts.
"What happened tho? What's this siren about"
I asked almost out of breath because of the long run.
"The jeons have attacked us!"
"What the-"
We entered the room and saw everyone waiting for us and clearly a fearfull expression was all over their faces.
"EVE?!?!? DIDN'T YOU TELL US NOT TO FEAR THE JEONS BECAUSE THEY WON'T HARM US AT ANY COST BECAUSE YOU HAD GOOD RELATIONS WITH THEM?!?!?? THE FUCK ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO NOW. WE ARE DOOMED!"
Literally everyone started yelling at me. But I was shocked. How could jungkook ever allow this. Eventhough he didnt like violence and stuff but he still had a big part in the decisions made for the mafia.
How could he?
Did he betray me...?
"Listen all of you. We are gonna fight till we die or they die. Let's look at eachother last time and swear to protect the honor of our mafia."
Our quiet boss spoke up .
"Yes WE WILL WIN THIS OR PERISH BUT WE WON'T GIVE UP "
garret cheared up everyone.
"Lets go!!"
Everyone started to occupy themselves with their weapons and extra bullets.
Everyone was running around the building. A terror was sown in the hearts of my people because this was a sudden attack. We weren't prepared and they had surrounded our territory from everyside. They had cut of the comunication system so we couldn't even call the reinforcements.
I ran out of the headquaters seeing the army of jeons coming towards us from a far.
I took out my massive gun which could shoot a victim from 20 km of distance. It was probably the most expensive gun given to us. I sensed other people standing next to me and they started shooting aswell. Suddenly a fear rose into me.
What if....
What If he's there....
What If my bullet is the one which ends up killing him......
NO!....
As I was thinking all of this my eyes started to well up but I continued to shoot recklessly. Suddenly a wave of bullets came flashing towards our side. SHIT.
I saw and heard the people screaming and falling down dead .
Our men were falling and failing. It seemed like a never ending pattern. Until they were only steps away. We were only 20 people left and they were still in hundreds. Me and Adam went to hide behind a bush. Adam was bleeding and i had a few scratches. Only us
two were left now and our boss. Who was nowhere to be found until I saw him hiding with us. He was also brutally injured.
"Eve , run with the boss through the back woods we have, only we know how to get out of those woods. They won't get pass them. RUN NOW WITH THE BOSS AND GO TO KOREA FOR NOW. I'm gonna stay here to distract them."
Adam shouted-whispered at me.
"No. I won't leave you here alone. Let's go togather please " my eyes started tearing up while looking at the people I looked up to most in so much pain.
Jungkook-ah where are you when I need you the most...
I shouted in shock when I saw a bullet tear through adams stomach.
"EVE. GO FOR GOD SAKES"
Adam hissed in pain.
"No No just wait I'll find jungkook among these people and he'll save us. Just wait"
I cried.
"Don't you get it ? HE FUCKING LEFT YOU TO DIE. HE TOOK ADVANTAGE OF YOUR LOVE TO DESTROY OUR MAFIA. NOW IF YOU DON'T WANNA DIE IN REGRET . LEAVE!"
Adam said. He then fell down. Looking soulless. Another one of my family died.
I couldn't take this anymore and picked up our boss who looked weaker then ever. I made a run for the forest and stopped when I reached the middle. The dark long trees prevented any light to come down. I put down my boss. I tore a piece of my shirt and wrapped it around his wound. He was almost unconcious but he was still looking at me. With hope. That was all I needed to get out of there.
That little gaze of hope saved both of us. Hope was all I needed back then.
