Kou x Subaru (Rewritten)

Chapter One- Love song

Frost had began to settle on the windowpane, obscuring his view of the mass of young teenage girls swarming the building he currently occupied. His brows knitted together as a look of distaste took over his face. The sound of squealing could be heard echoing from down the hall and throughout the entire building as the doors were opened. He rolled his eyes at the sound and sighed unimpressed that he would have to spend the whole night surrounded by this. Though as much as he detested the idea of spending the evening with a mass of teenage fangirls, he was looking forward to seeing his boyfriend's show. It had been a while since he'd last been able to get away from his family for long enough to see one. He was not however looking forward to watching said girls try and throw themselves all over his boyfriend. Realistically he knew he had no right to be so mad about other people flirting with his boyfriend, he was the one that insisted on keeping their relationship secret after all, but on nights like this part fo him just wanted to walk on stage in the middle of a show and kiss Kou right there where everyone could see just to shut them all up. Oh, how he would love to see the looks on their faces if they found out that their 'Kou-Senpai' was most definitely not interested in girls or any of his fans for that matter. Then again that would probably just lead to more squealing and god knows his ears don't need to suffer even more than they already have.

Trying to ignore the incessant squealing, he made his way over to the bar opposite the stage. It was quite quiet over here, what with most of the concertgoers being nowhere near old enough to drink. He noted the occasional parent lingering around the bar, some of which were looking longingly towards it, obviously being far too sober to deal with this and it was safe to say Subaru shared their pain.

However, at least there was one person here Subaru was happy to be in the same room as.

The eruption of screaming from the front of the room had alerted Subaru to his boyfriend's entrance distracting him from his previous train of thought. He could hear Kou addressing the crowd of screaming fans before discreetly scanning his eyes around the room and meeting Subaru's gaze. He almost thought he saw the blond smirk at him before returning his attention to the crowd but he was too far away to be sure. Kou eventually began the set as Subaru watched intently, his drink long forgotten in favour of the pop star. The set continued on in that fashion with the sound of Kou's voice playing through the speakers and a chorus of screaming from the crowd.

Eventually, the music began to slow and the lights dimmed around the room leaving only the stage illuminated. Kou gazed over to the spot where he could faintly make out his boyfriend's silhouette. "Now we're gonna play a song that means a lot to me." he said meeting Subaru's eyes. Subaru had a puzzled look on his face and his eyes widened when Kou uttered the words "This song goes out to someone very special to me who is here tonight" before beginning the song that Subaru recognised instantly as one that Kou had played to him in the dead of night when they had been far enough away from either of their respective houses for anyone to hear. Part of Subaru was internally screaming at the boy on stage. Was he trying to get them caught?! But he couldn't bring himself to think about the consequences, not with the way Kou was looking at him while playing the song he cherished so much. He could see a few people from the corner of his eye searching the room for who Kou could possibly be signing to but he couldn't bring himself to care in that moment

A/N- So this is the first rewritten chapter of this fic I definitely like this one a lot more than the original and I hope you do too. Thank you to everyone that supported the original version of this story and welcome to everyone that's just found this fic! I plan to continue with a similar storyline to the original but some events will occur differently if i feel it would fit the story better. As always comments, critiques and suggestions ect are always appreciated
....just came back to this fic a after what? a year? and wow my spelling was atrocious. anyway hopefully it should be better now and who knows maybe i'll actually finish it this time
