Chapter 8

Kai's p.o.v

The reaction is not what I expected. All have looks of understanding, I hid to protect myself. Lloyd hugs me, nuzzling my good shoulder. I stroke his hair, placing a kiss on it. "I'm okay, little cuz. I'm okay." I say. Lloyd picks his head up, confusion in his emerald green eyes. "Cousin?" He asks. I nod, "I'm Wu's only daughter, and your older cousin." I explain. Lloyd crushes me in a hug, the knowledge that he has more family than he thought has hem crying. I rub his back, whispering in his ear. Cole lifts me up, sitting behind me as he kisses my cheek. "And my girlfriend." He said. Lloyd calms down, pulling away and stands as Zane steps beside the bed. He touches the helm of my shirt, looking at me. The message is clear as he's asking for permission. "Do what you need to." I say. Zane nods, cutting the shirt in half. As he pulls the fabric apart over my shoulders, the binder is seen. This time, Zane looks at Cole, who nods. Zane cuts the binder in half, pulling if off my chest. He trails a hand along my ribs, feeling for broke bones. Going to my shoulder, he grasps my coller and bisep. Without warning, Zane bears down, snapping my arm down than straight up. Jurking and arching up, I clock Cole in the jaw with my head, a cry slipping past grented teeth. When its said and down, I give a glairthat could melt Zane. "The motherfucking hell. Did you really." I snarl, Cole rubbing his jaw. "If I had warned you, you would have tensed up and made it more painful." Zane explained. I nod, reaching back to cup Cole's head, I pull hem down for a kiss. "Sorry love." "Its fine, caught me by surprise." Cole said, nuzzling my cheek. Turning back, Zane had pulled the x-ray machine over. "I have to see where exactly the break was so I can fix it. But to do that, I need to umm...*clears throat* take your pants off." Zane says. I look at hem, blue with embarrassment, and giggle. "Just cause y'all know I'm a girl now, don't treat me any different. I'm still Kai." I say. Zane smiles, " I know but I respect woman their privacy, which includes this." Zane explains. I smile "if thats what you need to do, than you have my permission." I tell hem. Dad and Lloyd stand on either side of the bed, dad undoes the belt tie. Wrapping my arm around Cole's head, using my good leg, I lift myself up. Dad and Lloyd pull my pants down and off. Lowering myself down, I get a good look at how my leg looks. The bone is arched against the skin, threatening to break through. The skin around the bone is literally black and blue. Zane bearly places his hand on my leg, if my shoulder was bad, I yell out in pain as the old injury makes itself known. Zane lays the mat on my leg, taking four x-rays. "The good news is, I can fix your leg. The bad news, I have to cut your leg open to expose the bone." Zane said. "Just do it." I tell hem. "I can't give you any morphine, it could send you into shock." "JUST DO IT FOR FUCK SAKES." I yell. Zane nods gets his tools and sets the tray down beside the bed. Picking up the antiseptic, he disinfects the area. Taking a scalpel, Zane begins to cut into my leg. Grunting, I turn my head into the nook of Cole's neck, he nuzzling me. When Zane pulls the skin back, hands rest on my good ankle. Looking, its Jay. Looking at Zane, he has his hands on the bones. I turn my head back into Cole's neck as Zane slowly pulls them apart. Creaking sounds, me grunting is all thats heard. Than, just as the bone breaks, three things happen simultaneously. Cole cries out as I bite his neck hard enough to draw blood, Jay cries out as my leg kicks out of his hold and I kick his nuts hard. I also jurk a hand full of Cole's hair out. When things settle, I moan in pain as Zane attaches a metal plate to the bone, stitching the skin together. Spots swim in my vision and I welcome the darkness.
