Hoseok looked at a few of his classmates as they whispered to eachother. The boy next to him leaned near him. "What's going on?" He whispered. Hoseok slowly turned towards him not responding only giving him a blank look. A "feeling" sat in deeper.

Facing his teacher again. He watched as he whispered with the officer. He watched as his teacher slowly raised his head up and looked directly at him giving him a look of sorrow before standing and walking towards him. The sound of the officers violent steps following closely behind.

He wasn't sure why but his eyes were starting to feel a little more wet. His hands were starting to tap a little harder on his legs and his knees raised a little higher than before, before lowering again. Everything stopping as they reached him. His teacher placed his hand onto his shoulder and Hoseok couldn't find the courage to look to him. Which must have been a relief for them.

Hoseok sat in the passengers seat of the police car. He looked out the window as the car moved across the busy intersection. His vision blurred from tears that sat inside his eyelids and wouldn't fall. Instead of seeing the familiar ride away from his school. He instead watched as the distorted colors of car headlights and street lights blended together and soothed him.

"Hey, kid. Seriously, don't worry. Majority of the times  I do this... It's not a sad ending. Just a delivery of sad news. At least, at least it isn't a delivery of the worst news. I've had to do that a couple of times. You never forget it. Left a few scars on my heart that's for sure." Hoseok looked over towards the officer. He could have responded with something more than "ah." As he wiped his eyes with his sleeves. He could've smiled or said thank you for his efforts to cheer him up. He could have..

He also could have believed everything was going to be okay as they pulled into the hospital parking lot. He could've been optimistic that his mother was going to be okay. That she was hit on her bike but that everything was going to be okay. He could've tried not to feel anger boiling inside him. He could've focused only on his fear that he would lose her and not on why she was stupidly riding her bike in the rain.
He could have..

However, he really couldn't because he thought the officer was selfish and rude for his statement but more than that he couldn't feel enough to care what he said even if he tried because the moment he gave him the news he went numb. Only because there were so many emotions going through him that he didn't know which one to give his attention. Like the anger and sorrow piercing his heart repeatedly.

Hoseok sat inside the waiting room of the hospital. He watched as people went in and came out. Some sick and vomiting into those weird pans the hospital gave them. He almost wished he could vomit he even tried sticking his tongue into the back of his throat, nothing.

A little after the time school let out his best friend Yoongi got news that an officer had come to pick him up and he called Hoseoks cell a few times before giving up. He then texted him to ask what happened. Hoseok let the officer know that his friend was picking him up and that he would come back in the morning before going to school.

Yoongis mother made the boys a soup and sliced them fruit and cake and brought it to Yoongi's bedroom. Unlike usual the boys sat quietly and ate at the food. Yoongi stealing a small sigh in between some bites. Hoseok amd him had been through alpt through the years but nothing could have prepared him for this night. He didn't know what to say his heart aches for both Hoseok and his mom but he only ate and sighed.
