Chapter 1 - Where the trip began

"......November....." A young teen spoke to himself as he lie on a bed within a dormitory belonging to Beacon Academy. He was a well built young man: pale complexion, dark white hair resembling a wolf's fur, sharp blue eyes, with a body riddled in scars that seem to have originated from a sprawling Grimm encounter, alongside a pair of wolf ears that matched his hair. Currently dressed in a dark reddish tank top, black jeans, with a pair of matching black boots. " It's been at last a week since the semester started....and today's ' his ' anniversary " he spoke to himself softly " Who's anniversary? " another male spoke up from across the room: a tiger Faunus, also a pale complexion slightly darker, wearing a grey beanie over his slight orange shade hair. He was dressed in a white t-shirt with a dark green flannel over, sleeves rolled up just above the elbows while he wore black fingerless gloves. He also sported blue jeans and grey tennis shoes, as for his only Faunus feature: his tail was white with black stripes." Victor! Your so insensitive and oblivious! " a female shouted across from the room, standing near the bathroom. Victor, the tiger Faunus, just starred at her: his teammate, Lizabeth. She had a haircut similar to that of a bobcat cut, silky black hair with a white complexion. Dressed in a red sports top, black leggings and black shoes that the monks would wear. Victor simply had a blank stare " What?! I simply asked a question?!" He shot back with hostility. " It's the day Kiba passed you imbecile!"

" Well sorry I didn't know! "

The teen lying on his bed simply looked at the two and spoke: " I would prefer it if you two didn't start an argument today....I'm already down as it is, I don't need to be annoyed.." he returned his gaze to the ceiling. " Where's Robin?" He uttered towards the two " She's down in Vale with Blake most likely book shopping again " Victor replied as he sat atop his bed. Liz was leaning against the wall by the bathroom door watching the teen sit up " Anything planned today Stri?" Liz asked unveiling this young man to be Strider " Not really, we don't have classes today....I might just go take a stroll around Vale " He answered. Victor jumped to his feet and said aloud " In that case I'm gonna go hang with Vel" he grinned which caused Liz to rolled her eyes in annoyance " Just go ask her on a date for God's sake..."she murmured, luckily Victor didn't hear her as he made his way out the room. " Might as well see if Bakura is up to some sparring..." she looked towards Strider " Don't stay down for too long......your team leader after all, it's bad in the resume " Liz waved off as she exited the room. Strider waited until the dorm's door closed before he moved onto the floor and pulled a duffle out from under the wooden frame: the bag was mainly black and had the label ' SMART BRAIN ' upon both sides of the bag. Strider furrowed his eyebrows feeling the weight of not just bag but the contents inside. " Don't tell me...." he opened the the bag, unveiling a brief case: the case was black, silver lining, with that same label as the duffle bag ' SMART BRAIN '

Strider starred at that case for a good while, reminiscing on when he obtained the duffle bag that housed it ".....dammit she must've gotten my bag mixed with her's.......great....i'm truly hoping this isn't some devious plot of hers to pull me into actually doing ' that ' again. " mentioning the topic to himself, he began to reflect on the events two nights prior......
