Clay's Pov~
Today I am over at Ray's house to sit down with him and Naima.
I climb out of my car and walk up to the front door and knock and a few seconds later Naima opens the door.
" Ray, Clay is here." Naima says calling for ray
After a few minutes Ray walks into the kitchen and sits down at the kitchen table.
" Clay, Ray told me that you completely renovated the house you and Emma will be living in once you are married?" Naima asks me
" Yes, Ma'am. It is." I tell Naima
" How long did it take you to complete it?" Naima asks me
" It took me a few years to get it completely finished." I tell Naima
" How long are would this renovation last?" Ray asks me
" It all depends on what you would like for me to do." I tell them
" We talked it over last night and we decided to go with the kitchen, living room and the kids bathroom." Naima tells me
" What do you want done in the kitchen?" I ask Naima
" I would like for the layout to change. I would also like more counter space." Naima tells me and I start to draw out what I could make it look like
" This is not the final drawing. Is there anything here that you would like to add?" I ask
" That is my dream kitchen." Naima tells me
" On to the living room." Ray says
" We want it to be painted to a warm cream colour, and have a few pops of yellow but a different colored couch." Naima says while ray agrees
" Are you wanting to change the flooring in here or stick with carpet?" I asks them
" What do you recommend?" Ray asks me
" Since you have two young children and they are both pretty active I'd suggest a durable laminate flooring." I tell them
" Now to the kids bathroom." Naima tells me
" We want to do a jack and Jill type bathroom." Ray tells me
" There is an empty space between the Jameelah's room and the bathroom." Ray tells me
I pull out one of my tools and I put it against the wall and I see 4 feet of empty space.
" What do you want to do for the bathroom?" I ask
" We would like for the bathtub and the toilet to be on the same wall and for the sink to be on the other." Naima tells me
" I can do that. Do you want to redo the floor in here?" I ask
" Yes. We do. What type of flooring would recommend in here?" Ray asks me
" I would recommend using a strong long-lasting tile in here. Something that you won't have to worry about replacing in 5 years." I tell them
" From what you have seen right now how long of a time line are we looking at." Naima asks me
" I'd say about 3-4 weeks." I tell them
" That's shorter than I was expecting." Naima tells Ray
" Was the layout of the house like this when you bought the house?" I ask Ray
" Yes. It was. Why?" Ray asks me
" Because whoever redid this house did not do it correctly." I tell him
