“Haley?”
“Yes Ray?”
“I’m sorry about what happened, I promise I’ll explain everything.”
“… What happened?”
“About the guy we saw after cinema.”
“I can’t remember… did we meet someone?”
A few days after their conversation, Ray still had questions on how Haley forgot all about what happened back then. To her, it was a normal day that went smoothly with the absence of any memory traces to the event she hated so much. “The more things I find out, the more questions it raises.” He told himself each time he tried to think of it. A few more days have passed, the demonic activities around were a lot less than average, and Ray haven’t heard from Lilia since that day. In his head, something must be related to the Keeper of the Night Star, but after hearing all of the warnings he knew he should keep his head out of the matter. On a bored Saturday, Ray decided to hit the devil’s clearing, with a hope of him finding Lilia, and finding an explanation if his girlfriend is okay. Entering the deep line of trees, Ray felt a pulsing pressure effect that kept pulsing through the thick woods. He finally reached the clearing's boundaries and stopped noticing a group of people inside.
“these people must be Keepers as well.” Ray said to himself as he watched wondering what they were doing. They were all dressed in black leather coats, and were gathered randomly chatting with one another. It wasn’t long until he was noticed, the group of men and women went silent and all stared back at the teen which was now frozen dead in his place. “Relax ladies and gents.” A voice among the group called out and continued “He’s a friend of mine, the Keeper of Hell's Wrath. Isn’t that right, Ray?” Ray quickly recognized the voice, it was of David, the Keeper of the Night Star. Without thinking, Ray moved out of the bushes and walked into the clearing revealing himself to the group, before he could get any closer David walked out of the group towards him. “I’m afraid you have a bad timing young friend, this meeting is exclusive, but please wait for me on the side of the lake, I’ll call out to you as soon as we’re done.” David stated placing his arm on Ray’s shoulder. “I’ll give you the answers you need, but till then you have to leave before things gets out of hand.” Ray nodded and turned around to leave, he wasn’t surprised on how David could read his kind so easily as he have done the last time they met. As he left he could hear the mumbles of the group
“how rude.”
“He’s just a kid relax.”
“He’s Night star’s friend it’s okay.”
“Are all newbies this ignorant?”
The mumbling went on and on till Ray was out of listening range. He head out of the woods and sat next to the bridge, he closed his eyes and rested his body on the grass. He focused on all of his sensations on his surroundings, again he could see and hear everything around clearly, but he didn’t dare to try and rush his sensations back to the clearing. His focus levitated and flowed from a part of the park to another, smooth he observed and saw what others were doing, he enjoyed the feeling of being free of his physical limits. Without Ray’s awareness on the time he spent roaming around, he explored even further to the extremities of the park wondering how far he could be doing so, and the further he got, the blurrier the vision was, until it was eventually so blurred that the objects and voices blended with each other forming abnormal vision which forced him to go back. Almost two hours passed as Ray roamed the area before he was brought back to his senses by a hand patting his shoulder gently. “Apologies to have you wait so long.” David smiled down crouching next to Ray. “Let’s head in the clearing, I’ll tell you what you need to know.” He continued before leading the teen back into the devil’s clearing for what Ray thought would be a little chat. As the two reached there, David sighed and told Ray to stand still as he distant himself away. David made sure Ray wouldn’t get harmed by his own release. “I know what you want me to answer, but I’ll have you find everything you need within the right times. Now prepare yourself, you’re about to witness one of Lucifer’s priests.” David took a deep breath then prayed out. “Conquer the night of sinners, breed within their endless hate, silence, Haggarahael.”
The Barely visible light became even dimmer taking the day shades to a complete night with minimal vision. The demon appeared next to David from the darkness that followed. From what Ray managed to see the demon was wearing a hooded dark red coat, his face was pale greyish with old wrinkled skin and a white blind fold wrapped around his eyes. “Master, what’s your need?” the demon said in a high pitched whisper that was as audible as a roar. “I need you to help my friend here, make him able to fully understand his powers and past.” David replied. Haggarahael raised his hand toward Ray, the old wrinkled skin extended calling the teen to come closer as the shackles around it rang the broken chains that dangled from it. Ray walked slowly towards the demon before being interrupted with a loud hiss. “I don’t want you, I want your demons.” Haggarahael stated before twisting his hand into a fist pulling it towards his body. Not understanding what Haggarahael wanted, Ray was left in confusion before he knew what was going on. All of the six chains including Jengrith’s were being pulled towards the demon that stood before him. Ray couldn’t resist the feeling of pain that rapidly spread throughout his body, his eyes shut and millions of visions broke through his mind, soon it was silence, soon it was nothing but pitch black and numbness.
“Protect him, I can’t ask for more.”
“Here’s your end Daniel, accept it.”
“I’m sorry I couldn’t make it in time my friend, I promise I’ll take care of them.”
“You Murderers!”
“Nothing is truth.”
“DANIEL!”
“The humming birds will soon perish.”
“He’s so beautiful, just like him mom. We’ll name him Ray.”
“Jengrith… this is it buddy.”
“No one must know, promise me… whatever it takes.”
The memories flooded in, they weren’t Ray’s, but they all collected deep within his mind sending his agonizing pain screams to complete numbness. Suddenly Ray's silence was broken down with him muttering prayers.
“Corrode all holy to ashes, burn the desires of pride, Rebel, Jengrith.”
“Break all divinity, spread fear in their souls, exterminate, Bralvamon.”
“Feist in peace, the weak deserves death, Reap, Hiphurzhass.”
“Shine through Hell’s fires, turn everything to darkness, Harvest, Irgon.”
“Cry the poisons of Eve, bring back the faith untold, whisper, Nuullier.”
“Blind the souls of sinners, shed your feathers on their graves, shatter, Righuri.”
