Brice POV

What the hell is Jason doing here...why does he have to come back when everything is finally right in my life.

"Um...can I come in" He says nervously glancing around.

"Angel can you um go check on Kenya and Kai." Khalil says as I still stare at the monster in front of me in shock.

Angel sighs before walking inside.

"Yo what are you doing here man"Khalil says stepping in front of me protectively.

"Um..can I please come inside."Jason asks again.

"Bruh you can keep yo ass out here. I dont care what you do but your not going to come into my house and disrupt my kids."Khalil says sternly.

I look at him in awe at the fact that he thinks of Kenya as his own. Jason sighs before glancing around again.

"WELL SAY SHIT" Khalil yells

"OK listen.....I'm in some trouble" Jason starts as I roll my eyes.

"Same old Jason..you never change...always running to us when you need help"I snap.

"Brice I know but I just um..I just need you guys and maybe mara , Alfredo-"

"Dude we don't know where they are...they moved and we all haven't been in touch" Khalil explains.

That's a lie though cause I'm on the phone with Cameron everyday and she talks to Mara who talks to Sierra.They don't live in Cali anymore and they're all over America...but they have their lives together and I'm glad that Khalil wasn't about to let Jason tear their lives apart too.

"Well can you guys just help me out....I need you guys in the gang..I need-"

"Jason We've seen you and you so called new gang on the news....your lucky we aren't calling the police. I mean seriously, what gives you the nerve to come here and try to drag our now happy lives back into this mess!"I yell at him.

"Brice please I-"

"Wait" I say holding up my hand. I walk up to him and smell him.

"Alcohol.... are you fucking serious."I whisper.

"For real...you come here while children are inside; with alcohol...." Khalil shakes his head in disappointment.

I just storm back inskde before hearing Khalil tell Jason to leave and slamming the door in his face. He comes over to me and hugs me.

"Its alright baby. He's not gonna come and ruin shit."

I smile at his soothing words. Someone clears their throat and I turn to see Angel standing there with Kai on her hip and holding Kenya's hand.

"I'll just take the kids in the other room"Khalil say taking Kai from Angel and leading Kenya away.

"Well."Angel says waiting.

"It was just an old-"

"DONT" She yells holding her hand up.

"You were in a gang...and you worked with the biggest criminal ever."She says glaring at me.

"I was...but it was a long time ago and I'm done with that life...I'm not going back." I explain.

"So why didn't you tell me...why keep this from me. I thought I was you best friend"She says with disappointment clear in her voice.

I sigh as I say"Cause its not easy...I want to be rid of my past..not keep bringing it up...look I'm sorry Angel. I'm sorry that I kept this from you....forgive me"I plead.
