Chapter 13 { meeting the midnight man }

I walked trough fairy world while tanner and John whispered to one another about something but the only thing that I could make out was a name or a title I couldn't tell which. I could only make out the phase " the midnight man ". After about an hour of hearing them whisper I finally asked them , " what are you guys talking about? " I felt a little bad for asking due to it probably not being my problem. Tanner sighed than looked at John than at me. " oh nothing just about the king of the shadow fairy's " tanner said as John put his hand over her mouth to shush her. " the king of shadow fairy's? " I asked as my small wings fluttered in confusion. " I guess we can't hide it from you any longer " John said as he looked at tanner. " the shadow king is a fairy that turned to the dark side and then became one of the most powerful and evil fairy's ever! " I looked at them in confusion " well why did he turn to the dark side? " tanner moved Johns hand from her mouth. " he turned to the dark side so he could gain power since he was declined the throne " she sighed and looked at John. " usually he's causing trouble every day but recently things have been quite " after talking with them for a bit I was able to convince them to take me to the dark side. " so this is the dark side , I thought it would be more scarier " I said as I looked around only seeing a regular looking kingdom. After what seemed like forever i was able to get away from them and go into the dark side. I walked into the castle only to be captured by 2 guard fairies and after being captured I was taken to what looked like a throne room. " sir we found a moon fairy lurking in the castle " the guard said as the king or as I knew him as the midnight man looked down at me.
