Small child,
Frail and thin,
Talking to the teacher,
Putting on a fake grin. She looks cheerful,
She says she is fine,
But the teacher doesn't know,
What haunts the back of her mind. Her parents are drunk,
Her house is small,
She feels she has no one,
No one to call.As she tells her teacher,
That she is alright,
Her hand moves to cover the scars,
That where caused in a one person fight. Her teacher let's her go,
She goes off to her one friend,
They joke around,
One not knowing that the other needs to mend.As the day ends,
She walks back to her house,
As she enters through the door,
She's as quiet as a mouse.But it doesn't work,
She screams and shouts,
As her parents burn her,
In her own house. Then she runs,
Down the street then up the stairs,
To the highest floor,
Because no one really cares. She feels she isn't good enough,
She feels no one wants her,
Not even her friend,
Her eyes start to blur. She looks below her,
And without thinking twice,
She jumps and hits the pavement,
Her body slowly turning cold as ice.
