The feast where every family member sit down and say nothing and eat quietly, or for short, "dinner". Brillga, Queen of Srivtlheim, sat at the end of the table. Yorunn, her husband, sat at the other end of the table.
Moon, their daughter however, sat at the middle edge of the table. Brillga looked at her husband. He didn't notice at first, but when he did, Brillga kept glancing back and forth at their daughter. Yorunn raised an eyebrow, but then widened his eyes. He shook his head as slowly as he can so Moon wont notice him. Brillga responded with a questioned face. He glanced at their daughter, signaling to Brillga with his eyes.
'Not yet.'
Brillga let out a quiet sigh, and continued to eat.
"Moon dear, after you're finished, why don't you go and train with Itward? Its been so long since ive seen you two train together." Her mother said, trying to avoid her getting suspicious. Itward was a family friend. Well, mostly Moon. He's been with her ever since she was born. They are both inseparable both in the palace, and in training.
"Mother, I just finished training with him 5 days ago. Just because you haven't seen me with him for 5 days, that does not mean we stopped talking with eachother."
Moon wiped her mouth with her handkerchief. Her mother smiled softly. Moon stood up, and excused herself out of the dining room. After she walked to the door with her "manner walk", she quickly ran off outside the palace to the training garden. There, she met Itward.
"Ah, hello my darling. Did you finish your dinner?" Itward asked.
"Of course. I can't train with an empty stomach."
They both put on their gear and began to train. Itward always get impressed at how much she's improved. She gets stronger and quicker after every training.
"My, you've gotten better at attacking. Maybe you'll be the next queen if you beat your future husband. Its been 600 years since the last queen took the responsibility of the king." Itward praised.
"I hope what you're saying will be true."
"Isnt it always?"
"Maybe,"
They both laughed until someone interrupted them.
"Your majesty, the queen requires your presence."
Moon turned around to see who was speaking. It was one of the servants.
"Oh dear.." Itward said.
"What? Is something wrong my friend?" Moon asked turning back to him. Itward grabbed Moon's shoulders and brought her closer to him.
"Listen here my dear, the news your mother will give you could be a good, or a bad thing. Its up to you to decide whether if its good or bad." Itward told. Moon opened her mouth to say something, but Itward turned Moon and pushed her gently. She followed the servant into the palace. Only one thing was troubling her mind.
'What news?'The servant lead her to her parents room. She pushed the door open, gulping, ready to take in whatever news is given to her.
"Hello my dear. Come and sit down." Her mother said. Her voice was soothing and calm, but she was using that to hide her worried mind. Moon sat on the bed, her mother sitting next to her.
"What's this news?" She asked.
"What?"
"The news. Itward told me about some news you're gonna give me. Is this about that?" Her mother looked at Yorunn.
"Yes. But my darling, this news might not be what you wanted." Her father said grabbing her hand.
"We...." gulped Yorunn.
"...decided to marry you with Loki Odinson."Her fathers voice echoed in her ears. She was quiet for some time, and then she laughed, filling the room with her laughter.
"Is this one of your silly jests? Surely it is. Right?"
Yorunn shook his head slowly. Moon's face changed and she froze. The thought of marrying Loki was flying around her head. She didn't want to marry him, for she likes another person. She stood up with a face of pure rage.
"You can't do that! Mother do you know what mischief he did in the past? Last time he visited, he turned my glass of wine into a glass of tadpoles! Not just that, he turned me into a frog for 3 days!" She snapped.
"Those weren't intentional. He didnt mean to turn you into a frog or turn your wine into tadpoles. He was practicing his magic thats all-"
"Practicing to humiliate me!" She yelled. She quickly ran out the door and ran to her room. Brillga wanted to run after her, but Yorunn grabbed her arm.
"Lets leave her alone. She needs some time to think about this."
