Ellie

Another typical Sunday passed by. We had been at church since ten in the morning in our nicest clothing, that grew itchy and uncomfortable after a couple of hours. Every other Sunday we  have first and second service, and had just left our favorite buffet for dinner. My bloated stomach raised the fitted fabric of my dress as I took a deep breath.

"Make sure your homework's done Ellie," my mother reminded.

"I finished it in class," I reassured.

My parents were very adamant on school work and making sure everything always gets completed. They weren't keen on partying, hanging out with friends, and definitely no drugs or alcohol because it's 'filled with temptation'.

I don't have many friends outside of my cousins and church family, which might as well be none since I can't see them every day.

"I'm just ready to get home and shower. I think I went a little overboard on the chocolate fountain dad," I yawned with the stretch of my legs.

He chuckled from the driver seat while shaking his head. A thing my dad and I have done since I could talk and walk was see who could eat more chocolate covered treats. He usually always won, me with an occasional win here and there. The only trick to beating him was to dip non-ideal items in chocolate, like French fries. It never failed as an automatic win because the stomach ache later was never worth it.

I rested my head against the window as I noticed our familiar small town coming into view. The streets were fairly empty considering it was a Sunday night, and the sun had began to dip below the horizon.

It's sparkling rays painted our atmosphere a gorgeous pink with orange and blue hues. A few stray clouds floated in the distance as I watched the day fade away. I got so mesmerized by the breathtaking picture, I didn't even notice how quick we arrived to our neighborhood.

I glanced at the sky over our neighbor's houses. As we pulled into our driveway, I spotted a U-haul truck at the house across the street from ours. It had been up for sale for months, and was very posh and sizable like the rest of the surrounding houses, but apparently no one could afford it until now.

"Look honey, we finally have more neighbors!" My mother said with a smile as she observed the same sight as me.

My eyes immediately locked on the muscular glazed back of a fairly tall boy. His brunette hair was being contained in a secure bun, and a few stray fly aways clung to the clammy skin of his neck. Ashy black skinny jeans hugged his toned legs, and feet barefoot against the smooth pavement.

My jaw dropped in astonishment as I observed him from behind, already certain that he'd take my breath away once he turned around.

My mouth watered as his tan muscles flexed when he picked up a box. Plastered across the cardboard in big red letters spelt 'fragile.' It must have been quite the load because it started slipping from out of his hold, and he had to push it up with one of his burly legs in order to get a better grip.

When my dad pressed the garage clicker it caught his attention, and I finally saw a face that made me want to faint right then and there in the back seat of our car.

His gleaming emerald eyes seemed to shine in the distance, and he had a few tattoos peaking from around the box that I couldn't take my eyes off of. His beautifully sculpted face was perspiring in the evening's rays, and he had the cutest set of plump pink lips.
