Christmas. The time of year where people are excited for gifts and that magical kiss underneath the mistletoe. I on the other hand don't really care much about that. Christmas to me is that time around the year that's full of joy and happiness. I don't really care about having a present for me under the tree and even though that kiss sounds great I'm fine with not having it. Yeah sure those sound fun and exciting I love the holiday for other reasons. To me it's the time of year where you spend time with your family decorating the house and watching Christmas movies. Drinking hot coco or eggnog with your friends while talking about life on the couch where the only source of light comes from the tree. Beautiful decorations and lights covering the streets bringing a glimmer to your eyes. Where people are full of cheers in their eyes and a smile on their lips singing Christmas songs. To me Christmas is the time of year where everything in your life could be going wrong but for a split second it all disappears. It transports you to a time that you had nothing to worry about. It takes you to a fantasyland where everyone is happy and everything feel calm and gives you a feeling of bliss. Even if you're far away from your family this time of year just the happiness of a family enjoying the holidays make you reminisce about your childhood and the time you spent your days with your family like that. So I'm fine not getting the Christmas that other people get because people that get that joy I feel just see from the kids opening their presents to the families singing and laughing to the beautiful couples kissing under the mistletoe because the reaction that they have is the best thing you can ask for. It shows you that even though most of those people are too busy they still make time to spend the holidays smiling and and enjoying it with friends and family.
