(A little heads up, this chapter will jump around a lot at first.)
Inko Midoriya hummed as she prepared breakfast. It had been 10 years since that horrible day when she thought she had lost her son, only for his quirk to activate and turned him into who he was today.
Inko who had taken what the doctor told her to heart and did her best to raise her son and she was proud to say she succeeded. That's not to say there haven't been issues, just as the doctor warned Izuku seemed to have lost all feelings related to sadness, despair, regret or any feeling other then joy and other positive emotions. In fact there was only one time when Inko saw her son get angry.
He was around 5 years old and one night the pair had been surrounded by 2 purse snatchers, one with a quirk that lets him turn his fingers into small swords while the other was holding a gun. Inko nervously tried to hand over the money while keeping an eye on Izuku who was still smiling a fact that unnerved the snatchers, Inko could see her son's eye and finger start to twitch.
Trying to end this as quickly as possible the mother quickly got out all the yen she had and handed it over. Believing that would be the end of it, and it would have been had it not been for one little mistake.
It was completely accidental the thieves would later tell the police. They already had the money so there was no reason for them to keep harassing the mother and son, but as the thieves started to flee the one with a finger blade quirk tripped accidentally giving Inko a small scratch on her cheek.
For a moment everyone stood still not knowing what do to. However soon a small giggling could be heard that soon grew into a maniacal laugh as the three adults slowly turned to the terrifying sight of five year old laughing insanely while his red eyes burned with hatred. That wasn't what scared the 3 however for it was the fact the world seemed to distort around him as this was happening.
All three were to scared to move even Inko, none of them have ever been as scared as they were at that moment. That's when Izuku made his move.
When the police arrived after getting reports of disturbances they came upon a disturbing scene of a young woman trying to calm her son down while in off in a corner where 2 men. The one who finger blades had his both his hands, arms and all of his finger broken as well as 2 black eyes, a broken nose and a busted jaw. The other man just sat there and while he appeared uninjured he had a look of pure terror on his face.
'I'm just happy the police was so understanding.' Inko thought to herself as she let out a small sigh. After being taken down to the station and explaining what happened the police decided to declare it as self-defense.
However the officer in charge did explain that Izuku would have to go to a youth quirk training center, facilities designed to help children understand and control their quirk better, as well as any side effect that may come as a result of their quirk.
