Cold....He was stuck in a cold room, tied down. Nothing but the faded yelling of Rose could be heard in the room.

Oscar opened his eyes slowly lifting his head until he suddenly was stopped by straps holding him down. His neck made an awful snap sound and his face was swollen red.
Oscar tried moving his hands free but nothing could help...he was bound to the damp old bed.

He was in a small square room with stone walls and a window the size of a normal book. It had a metal table that was like a stool but it had a needle on it...the ones for tattoos. There was a rotting door that had a silver handle and a few holes that a hummingbird could fit through. He suddenly noticed a mirror in front of the bed. His long blonde hair was a mess and he noticed his face...it was red and had some scratches but the biggest detail was a giant black rose painted onto the left side of his face.

Footsteps and voices were getting close to the door. Oscar suddenly dropped down to lay flat so they wouldn't know he was awake. The door opened with a creek as Father Jacob and some other guy ,who was large and wore a top hat, stepped in. They started talking "What should we do with the boy?" Father Jacob said "fortunately if his family would they can keep him but they have to hide him from everyone else..." "Yes Mayor Harry, we will ask his father if they would keep him. If not he will live outside gods town" "Good since that's done let's leave. I don't want to be possessed by any evil spirit thanks to that THING" he spat at the end of his sentence at the 'unconscious' boy. The presumably mayor left and then Father Jacob turned to the wall that had a phone on it. It rang a few times until Father Jacob answered "Hello is this Rose? I'm afraid that you have the choice to keep that...THING... of course you wouldn..." he was soon stopped by the shouting of rose but the only words heard were "BETTER NOT HAVE HURT MY BABY!" It was definitely Rose.
Oscar was happy that his mom would care but he was slowly falling back to unconsciousness with a throbbing pain overwhelming his face and he passed out.

He woke up laying on concrete...in his basement? He was covered in water and his mother was in front of him with a bucket "I'm so sorry dear. It's just the ways...I luckily can keep you but you have to be hidden from everyone else... your dad won't act the same but I will still love you dear." His mother had a depressed undertone in her voice and spoke quietly so no one else could hear but him. Oscar weakly lifted himself up to sit. His mother dropped the bucket "I unfortunately won't be able to see you much...He won't allow me...but if I finish cleaning the house early I can see you!" She said that weakly like she forced faith. A sudden slam from a door upstairs alarmed them. Rose stood up and whispered "I must go..There is food and water...I truly love you dear..." She walked off leaving Oscar in the wretched Basement.
