Secret Games

Jungkooks pov:

"I'll see you later at the studio," I told Tae. He waved as I drove off, and everything seemed so unreal. I had finally told him how I felt but it didn't seem to go well. Breakfast was just a bunch of awkward small talk, I meant what I said but I didn't know what to do next. Do we take us to the next step and keep it a secret? Or do we just move on and pretend the conversation never happened?

I stopped at this little area in the forest on my way to the studio, it's my favorite spot when I need to clear my mind and to break away from reality for a bit. I sat down on a tree trunk, taking in the fresh air and nature around me for a few minutes. I check the time and went to my car to head into work.

I arrived at the studio and went to the conference room where we all meet up to review the schedule for the day. Today were supposed to record parts of our new song and then learn the choreography for it. All of us went into the recording studio and took our turns in the booth and if it wasn't our turn in the booth we worked on other songs or tweaked parts of the song we were recording. It was Taehyung's turn in the booth and I dropped everything I was doing to listen to him. He wasn't himself, his voice sounded different, it sounded- emotional? I started to wonder why he wasn't himself. I was longing to hear the voice that comes out like honey, as low as a comforting whisper in the night. I shook my head regaining my senses and coming back to reality.

When he got out of the booth Namjoon hyung asked him what was wrong and taehyung just said he was tired which I knew was a lie. I shook my head, I knew that he wasn't okay and I wanted to help him but I didn't know how. I decided to pretend I didn't hear anything and not bring it up.

Once all the members recorded their parts we had to move on to dance practice since it'll take a few hours. For some reason I was so nervous and couldn't even look at Taehyung. Calm down JK, it's just Tae, don't be nervous it's- it's not like you guys will have to touch each other or anything- hopefully. Keone entered the room and explained the dance we were going to be learning. It didn't seem to hard and I was hoping that doing so new choreo would help clear my mind.

We learned most of the choreography that day, and we were finally learning the very ending. Keone started to explain how he wanted everyone, "so I want everyone except for Taehyung and Jungkook to form a circle, backs towards each other, make sure it's big enough for the two of them to fit," my heart sank and I immediately looked at Taehyung. We locked eyes for a split second while Keone began to put us in position. He brought me in the circle, "okay, now put your arm up," I put my arm up as my heart started racing. Keone then brings Taehyung into the circle he puts Tae next to me and turns him so our backs are touching, I could feel my whole body start to shake ever so slightly.

"Okay, now I want you both to interlock hands," Tae reached his arm up and our hands connected, Breathe just breathe it's going to be okay its just the choreo. I tried to convince myself to calm down but it didn't work too well. Oh god please please don't notice that my hand is shaking.

We ran over the song a couple of times and before I knew it practice was over. I said goodbye to everyone I went home as fast as possible. I drove home on muscle memory, because if I was being honest I wasn't mentally paying attention. I got to my apartment and quickly shut and locked the door behind me, taking my shoes off and going into the kitchen to get some water. My head was spinning, everything from today and the night before was playing over and over in my head.

I showered, changed into pajamas, brushed my teeth, and laid in bed. I was so tired but I couldn't fall asleep just yet, there was so much on my mind. Was Taehyung okay right now? What do I do about how I feel for him? I tossed and turned until I finally was able to rid my mind of all thoughts and fall asleep.
