School ended, and we started to pack our things to leave the school premises. "Hey, do you want to join and go to the mall?" Jisoo asked me as she grabbed her bag on her arm.

"Me?" I asked. "Yes, do you want to join? I'll tag along with them." Melissa then answered out of nowhere. I then started to think of all the plans that I would be making in the next few days. Forgetting about the work that I'll do, I'll just set it aside and, at least, have some fun for a moment. It won't hurt, right?

"Sure," I answered with a smile in my mouth. My eyes squinted as I grinned from ear to ear, getting excited.

It's a free day for me. It will sure be fun; I have my friends with me. I now have my rest from all of the hard work I have done. I deserve this kind of treatment.

"Let's go!" Nayeon shouted as we laughed all together before heading out of the room.

I've been all alone in my entire academic journey. I always hang myself. I never asked for help, nor did I have friends around when I was in America. The world's so different from here. In just one snap of a finger, I could get these four girls on my back. I trained myself not to be weak and to always be strong. I was the only one who was left alone; I must stand on my own, right? I act cold, scary, and sometimes angry. That's how rough, bad, and rigid I have been since then. The day I connected all the dots, my parents didn't love me as much as the other parents loved their children. It was an unfair and cruel thing that they could do.

But now, setting them all aside, I am now in a bond with my sister and friends, which I am focused on protecting.

"Does it look nice?" Jennie asked Nayeon as she held a cropped top in purple with a flowery design. "Yes, but I think this looks way better than that," Nayeon said as she got a slim and backless dress with a slit on its design in a metalic brown colour.

"I agree!" Jennie answered with a smirk on her face. I laughed with them as the two jokers were having fun. "Those are only for proms, girl," Jisoo snorted as she was finding a good fit on the hangers with tops.

"Will Taehyung like me once I wear this on the prom?" Jennie flirtily said as she had her voice in her nasals. She snorted, making all of us laugh at her statements. "Maybe in your dreams, sweetie." Melissa shakes her head while finding a good shirt too.

All I could do was watch and laugh. I am having a good time in this scenario; having them around is the greatest fun in my life. Friends.

"Hey, let's grab some drinks before we get home," Jennie said out of the blue as we were done choosing our purchases.

"Starbucks?" Jisoo asked when she took a peek outside the department store. "No! There's a newly opened cafe outside the mall. Let's try it!" Jennie exclaimed as she linked her arm with Jisoo. "Sure!" All of us answered and went our way out of the mall.

The stall was apparently inside the mall's premises' building. The main door was just connected outside the mall; however, we almost didn't need to leave the mall because it was accessible there.

"There's actually a door inside the mall of this cafe, Jennie." Melissa rolled her eyes as she pointed out the cafe that they were standing on.

"Oops, I thought it wasn't connected in the mall. Anyway, let's go!" Jennie insisted as she went inside first, greeting the staff that were there to welcome their customers.

The cosiness welcomed me inside the cafe. It was cold and blustery. The cafe station is located on the left side of the counter. There are baristas that are making the drinks for each customer coming in, and meanwhile, there is a stationed staff to assist with their orders, one by one. It was all brown, and it is also aesthetically pretty. Starting from the chairs, furniture, and tables, all of them have brown and white accents. It was warm in the eyes to look at them.
