Chapter 2: Too Many Forms!!

The second day of school.

I found out from the schedules that they gave me that all my teachers are boys. I also got one of those really cool student planners. People in this school are really nice, and there’s no bullying allowed.

The only bad thing about the school is that they give you tons of forms at the beginning of the year to fill out. It’s just… just… I have to try so hard to say this word: annoying.

Ugh.

Yesterday, each of my teachers gave me 10 forms. Literally. And each of those forms have 50 fields to fill out, not including a few multiple choice questions. I gave them to mom to fill out, and she spent an hour, only to finish 2 of them.

I felt sorry for her. She looked quite haggard after 5 full hours of stupid form-filling, so dad decided to help her out.

Today, I was given 5 more forms from each of my 8 teachers. I want to punch them in the face, even if they’re quite nice.

At lunch, I made a few friends.

Hanako asked, “So, how do you like it here so far?”

“It’s fine. The only bad thongs about this place is the amount of forms they make you fill at the beginning of the year. Otherwise, things here are perfect.”I responded.

Izunami asked me, “Who do you like, Saskeni?”

“N-No one,” I lied. “Really.” I blushed.

“Oh, so you do like somebody. Who is it? Tell me!”

“It’s nobody. It’s none of your business, Izunami.”

“Pleeeeaaaassseee? Please? Please? Please? Please?” she whined.

“Awe, fine.” Nobody says no to her adorable puppy begging. Nobody.

“It’s… It’s… It’s Kimkada!” I blushed uncontrollably. “Excuse me, I need to go use the bathroom.”

My cheeks burned. I felt them get hotter and hotter like someone was pouring lava on it again and again. It hurt, but I didn’t care. As long as no one could see it.

I threw away my unfinished lunch and ran down the hallways. I didn’t care if I got in trouble.

I almost reached my locker when–

“Ow!”

Uh-oh.

I opened my eyes.

I had bumped into someone, but I didn’t know who it was.

“Oww…….”

At that instant, I recognized his voice. Kimkada!

“Oh, no! Oh no, I’m so sorry!!” I shouted.

“Saskeni! Are you okay?”

“Yeah, I’m fine. Don’t worry about me. Look at you!”

He was bleeding. I helped him up, and he fell back down. I had to help him up two more times until he stood up by himself.

“I’m so sorry!” I had hurt him.

“It’s okay. It’s only a little blood.”

“No, I think we should get you to the infirmary.”

“No, it’s okay, really.”

I helped him gather up his papers scattered all over the floor.

“I’m sorry. I really didn’t mean that. Guess I won’t be running in the hallways any longer,” I apologized. “Wow…”

“It’s alright. But what were you doing anyway?”

“I was… Well… going to my locker.”

“Hm. ‘Kay. By, Saskeni! I have to take these papers to the guidance office. See ya!”

“Yeah… See you soon, Kimkada!”

I went to my locker and took out a book to read in the hallways until the next bell.
