Momma, Jay called from his room. Momma, are you up?
Yes, Jay. Momma replied in her soft voice. Have you washed and brushed your teeth?
No, momma.
Jay walked from his room into hers.
How are you momma, he asked.
I'm wonderful son. Are you hungry?
Yes, momma. I am hungry. What are you going to cook? He asked.
Let's see. Give me a minute to get up from bed and we will go take a look in the kitchen, Momma said to Jay.
Alright, momma. I'm going to go wake up brother. Brother is still sleeping, mom.
Wake him gently, Jay, mom called back.
Brother, brother Jay spoke to Zech. Get up it is time for us to eat.
Zech, is not budging, mom.
Zech, mom lifted Zech from his bed, opening his eyes, Zech arose.
Smiling from ear to ear, Zech spoke, brother.
Jay ran over to hug his brother.
For a split second they where all in silence and peace.
Carrying Zech down the stairs to the living room mom sat him down on the couch.
She walked into the kitchen.
Jay flew down the stairs to accompany his brother and mom.
Their step dad had vanished to work with no time to awake anyone.
In the kitchen mom was cracking open some eggs and a box of pancake mix.
Ready to make their favorite; scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon, pancakes, orange juice and milk.
Knowing that her sons was going to request seconds mom cooked plenty.
After eating mom was like a giraffe. Jay felt like lizard and Zech felt like a panda.
