Jason started cleaning up around the apartment, putting the shoes back by the front door, making sure the clothes were in the dirty clothes hamper, and wiping down the counters, and washing the dishes from his and Grace's pancake fiasco that morning. He looked out the window already seeing the light sprinkling of rain. He huffed, there went his idea of taking Grace to a park after he picked her up from school. He already started thinking about what else they could do. He put up the dishes into the dish drainer and started washing off his hands as he heard his phone start ringing.

He wasn't expecting any calls so he hesitantly picked the phone up before realizing it was the school calling him. He furrowed his brows, curious as of who would be calling him, since Grace never had any behavioral issues at school, so the last thing he was expecting was to ever get a call from the school. He accepted the call and put it on speaker "Hello?" the voice that replied made his heart drop to the pits of his stomach and his anxiety instantly go up "Hello Hood. Been a little hasn't it?" but he also felt an enormous amount of rage "Fuckbird. What the hell do you want?" "If you want your precious Gracie, you'll meet me back by the docks. No weapons, no gear. Just show up. Don't think you'd wanna see what happens to your poor daughter if you don't listen. But then again, knowing you you'll find a way to fuck it up like you always do. Except for this time, you won't get out on top."

And with that, the phone hung up. Jason dropped his phone, feeling as if a bunch of bricks just hit him like a freight train. His daughter, his pride and joy, his baby, was in danger, all because of him. It was his fault Mockingbird had gone after her, how could he be so stupid? Why hadn't be been more careful?
