Heartache

Ochaco POV (middle of 7th grade year)

'How could he do this to meeee!!' I thought while bursting into tears. 'My now ex boyfriend Katsuki Bakugo just dumped me!! How could he!' I think as I see my best friend since the beginning of the 7th grade inch closer to me.

Izuku POV

"Ochaco....? Are you alright?" I say as I see her look up at me with puffy eyes, runny makeup, and a messy gym uniform. "Izuku go away! I want to be alone!!" She shouts at me as I get a bit scared and back off a little. "Ochaco... I'm sorry. I'll be here for you..." I say to her with a small frown as I sit down on the cold wood gym floor.

Ochaco POV (now near present day)

'Please never leave Izuku...' I think as I keep sobbing and he keeps looking at me with a sorrowful expression. "I am here" is all he says before I hear a loud alarm clock.

'.....that dream again...' I think as I turn off my alarm and get dressed for another droning day at U.A. High school. 'First basketball practice then 8 classes and then basketball practice for the 2nd time and repeat... it's always the same' I think as I walk into the school building and get some breakfast. "Hey there Ochaco~ how about we get some coffee later or something~?" Says Hanta Sero a student in class 2-C the most recent "boyfriend" I have. "Maybe when I get done with swim...? Or Sunday perhaps?" I ask him as he smirks a little. "Maybe we could just get to business right here..?" He says and opens the nearby janitors closet slightly with a wink. I shudder "keep it in your pants dickhead." Izuku says while walking up and 'gently' shoved the guy out of the way. "Fuck off dude she was just about to say yes to my offer!" He says as he tries to punch Izuku only for him to catch his fist. "I saw how uncomfortable she's been looking since she got with you. So fuck off cunt, and don't make me count to three" Izuku says with malice. Hanta runs off with tears in his eyes. "Don't beat me up!!" He says before tripping and face planting about 50 feet away. "T-Thanks Izuku, I think he might have tried to force me in there if I said no.." I say with a big sigh. 'Another relationship ran off because of those damn perverts.' I think as Izuku stretches his arms back. 'Without his jacket on I can see his beefy arms!!' I think and blush before smacking myself a little. 'He just got with Toru I can't be thinking stuff like that!!' I think right before he smiles and says "well I gotta get to class, plus Toru will be mad if I don't see her before lunch!" Then off he goes.

(I'm making Izuku taller and more masculine to fit in with the story)

Izuku POV

"Izu!!" Toru yells as she seems a little angry. "Why were you off with Ochaco again, don't tell me you're cheating?!?" She says before tearing up a little. "I would never. I just had to keep a guy from 2-C from doing some bad shit to her, she is my best friend after all!" I say before giving her a kiss. "Oh.. sorry Izu! Let's get to class!" She says before she drags me along side her. I chuckle.

~Time Skip 4 uneventful weeks~

"What...?" I say with tears flowing out of my eyes. Mei Hatsume—one of Toru's friends—just broke up with me for Toru. "I'm really sorry Izuku..." she says as I cry and cry for a few seconds before dashing out of school and running all the way home. 'This is the worst day ever...' I think as I lock my bedroom door and lay in my bed.

"I'm sorry Ochaco..." I say to myself as I slowly pull out a razor blade that's covered in a little dried blood. "I'm so sorry..." I say again before shoving it into my wrist slowly.

~3 months later~

Ochaco POV

"I'll be back later mom!" I shout back into my house as I go out to go shopping in the mall.

~time skip to the mall~

"Oooh! New mochi flavor~!" Ochaco says as she walks quickly towards a shop that's close to a darkish hallway. "Oh look who we got here~?" Says a dark creepy voice. "Sh-Shoji..?" I sputter our as I see on of my exes in the dark hallway wearing an evil smirk before grabbing me tightly and shoving me to the ground in the dark area. "O-Oww..." I mutter, I hit my head kinda hard before I see him try to pull my pants off, he's almost successful with doing what he's gonna do until a man in a dark green hoodie spins him around and beats the ever living hell out of shoji. "Ochaco..?! Are you okay??!" He shouts as I hear a siren in the background. He holds me close to him after helping me put my pants back on. "I-Izuku.." I say with tears in my eyes. I sob, again and again, until all I can see is a blurry Izuku setting me down in an ambulance and holding my hand. Then I black out.

Izuku POV

"Dammit... be okay Ochaco.." I say as she groans and holds my hand back in her sleep. She accidentally hits the scars on my wrists. I wince as the EMT in the back with us looks weirdly at me. I look at him with dead eyes as I pull up my sleeves right before I go back to holding Ochaco's hand.

~time skip~

Ochaco POV

My eyes flutter open. I have a slight pain in my head and my side. "O-Ochaco..?!" I hear someone say as I look over to them and see Izuku. My very best friend. "Izuku..." I say with a teary eyed smile. I hug him so hard. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" I say and give him a tighter hug before holding his hands. But he winces slightly. "Oh did I hurt you..? Wait..." I say while noticing some marks under his sleeves. "Don't tell me..." I continue before I see him tear up. "I-I'm Sorry!" He says and hides his hands. "Don't be..." I said as I sit up fully and pull him into a nice warm hug. "Next time tell me okay..?" I says as he nods and we continue to hug.

After a few hours I'm checked out of the hospital and I can go home again. The police caught shoji and have sent him to jail for 50 years for attempted rape, assault and battery, and owning an illegal firearm that he had hidden in his jacket.

~present day~

'It's been a year of me and Izuku being on and off friends since I got busier with new boyfriends and swim practice getting even harder...' I think as I sit at lunch with my new boyfriend Shoto Todoroki. We've been dating for a few weeks now and he even met my parents! "Hey Ochaco.. I gotta say something... I want us to break up..." he says as I look at him with a shocked expression. "W-What..." I say before he lets go of my hand and stands up. "It's not you it's me. I'm going back to my ex girlfriend.. sorry" he says before walking away....

I can't stop crying. I run fast and quietly through the halls as I get to Izuku's class and knock on the door. "Yes- oh miss are you okay..?" Asks the teacher with concern. "I need Izuku to come with me. It's an emergency..!" I say with tears in my eyes still. "Okay wait right here." She's says before telling Izuku to grab his things. "What's the problem Mrs- Ochaco!? Are you okay?!!" He says with worry as he hugs me tightly and I latch onto him while crying. "Shoto dumped me!" I say as I see him clench his fist. "It's okay Ocha.. I'm here now..." he says with his naturally soft calming voice. "I-Izuku.." I mutter as he picks me up bridal style. And walks me to the exit area. "Do you wanna go get ice cream and talk about it..?" He asks. "Y-Yeah..." I say as I hiccup from crying too much. "Okay..." he says as he sits me down on my feet. "Let's go to my car.." he says and holds my hand while guiding me out of the school. "T-Thanks Izuku..." I say as he opens the door for me and I then get in. "Why would you need to thank me..? I'm just taking care of my girl.." he says with a smile as he starts his car. "I-I'm H-His girl..." I mutter with a small blush and look out my window. "I feel like you always are around to keep me safe and you are always protecting me.." I say to him while I reminisce on every time he has helped/saved me. "Why..? Why do you always help me?" I ask him. He sighs before he grabs my left hand slowly. "I can't help but try to keep you safe... to be completely t-truthful with you Ochaco... I'm in l-love w-with you, I have been for a long time..." he says with a slight stutter, I go silent for a bit. He's always been there for me, especially with the Shoji incident...

"Izuku..... I love you too, so much.." I say as we park in the parking lot of the local ice cream shop. As soon as we got out of the car I ran over too him and kissed him like my life depended on it. "Gah- Ochaco I need air..." he says and chuckles as we walk into the shop with smiles as he grips my hand.

I've finally found the right guy. He's been right next to me the whole time.
