As Taehyung laid the gun on his kitchen counter top, he sighed feeling relieved that the man was dead. He looked at the clock, '11:51 PM' the day was his birthday and he felt that he needed to celebrate properly. He grabbed a cupcake from his refrigerator that had been sitting there for weeks and set it on the counter and then went to his drawer, searching for a candle. "Ah ha!" He finally found one and jabbed it into the half-frozen cupcake. He lit the cupcake with his cigarette lighter and looked back at the clock to make sure it wasn't midnight, '11:59' he screeched and immediately blew out the candle without a wish or a song. He stared at the cupcake, thinking nothing but 'I'm one year closer to death, yay.' Deep down, Taehyung knew he had ruined the man's family just as the man ruined his and it truly made him feel horrible. Usually when he felt this way, he would call his best friend, Jimin. He called him up surely enough, Jimin answered enthusiastically, "Hey buddy! What's up? Are you having a good birthday?!" This put a smile on Taehyung's face to know that at least someone cared. Jimin always made him smile. "Yea.. I guess." Taehyung replied, "But it would be even better if you were here." Jimin hung up the phone as soon as he heard those words, this left Taehyung a little confused but then he started laughing when he realized Jimin was on his way. Minutes later, Jimin knocked on Taehyung's door and he opened and immediately hugged Jimin. "Woah bud! What's up with you huh? Jimin chuckled and looked at Taehyung's face, realizing that tears were rolling down his cheeks. He showed a concerned look and Taehyung said "I've never been so happy to see another human in my life." Jimin was Taehyung's way to escape, he reminded him of his brother because Jimin was loyal, caring and just a joy to be around. He needed an escape at this moment, knowing he had just taken a father from a child's life, that being just as his brother was taken from his. Jimin patted his back and Taehyung just hugged him and looked at him with his signature smile. Jimin chuckled and responded to Taehyung's cute, irresistible, boxy smile with, "Happy birthday you big cry baby, I love you."
