A poem is an illustration.
A thought's narration.
It articulates the emotion.
All in slow motion.
An attempt to relive the history.
A search for meaning in your mystery.
It tries to sing your song.
That you were trying all along.
Creating depth in recalled time.
All done along with a rhyme.
The words have due implication.
The heart is the strong formation.
That emotively gives the dictation.
That gives the poet the clarification.
A poet is an audacious vocalist.
He just adds rhythm you can't resist.
He ties it all in with a twist,
And now you get the gist
Of the poet's mist.
