❛❛ welcome to magic island!❜❜
.choi beomgyu dislike mornings. sure, it was lovely seeing the colors of tangerine reflecting on the clear vast ocean as the sun peeks at the horizon, but it wasn't lovely how the first thing he ever does in the morning is to answer calls and entertain rude clients who are really getting on his fucki— ah yes. choi beomgyu really dislike mornings.
"sir, for the last time, we are not offering dead people's bodies for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. wha— what do you mean why?" the silver-haired teen inwardly groaned, pinching his nose bridge as he tries to take deep breaths.
deep breaths beomgyu. you don't want ms. jung to get mad at you, right? we don't want that, right?
"why are you not offering it? i thought your place was a five star area."
okay you know what? fuck it.
"it's because those dead people are one of our several clients dumbass. if you think you're really special then talk to the owner of the island. have a nice day and goodbye." the telephone on his hand dropped with a thud. a sigh escaping his lips as he slumped on his seat, taking his time to take in the serenity that the island never fails to provide.
from his seat, he could see the tree that his boss, jung jihu, loved so much. there's a story behind as to why the mistress took care of it as if it was her most valued possession throughout the centuries, but it is not his story to tell. the dragon was fast asleep by its side, occasionally breathing out fire. beomgyu shuddered, remembering the days where the mistress' pet and him didn't get along. (the fire breathing dragon almost burned him alive but thank god, it was over.)
his eyes continued to roam across the entirety of the island, until it stopped on the gate, which was open—
which was open— which was fucking open.
beomgyu surged forward, taking the telephone with shaky hands as he hastily dial yeonjun's number.
"hello, this is choi yeonjun! please leave a message after the t—"
"now is not the time to be joking around, hyung."
"geez, okay. what do you want?"
the younger man glanced at the dragon who was still fast asleep, before diverting his gaze back on the gates.
"what time is it?"
"6:21 am. don't you have a watch?" if beomgyu wasn't so scared for his life, he would've replied with a remark that could ruin yeonjun's pride.
"the gates won't open until 7:30 am. am i correct?"
"yup. yes, yes, you are. why do you sound so nervous?"
it's because he is.
he gulped before replying.
"hey yeonjun hyung?"
"yeah?"
"did you lock the gates last night?"
the clock beside the telephone seems to be mocking him. one second, two, three, four, five seconds turning into a whole minute passed before the older boy could reply.
"holy shit."
and just like that, the once tranquil atmosphere was gone. tangerine skies turned into grays, the ground beneath beomgyu's feet cracking as he held onto his telephone for dear life. If he dies, he'll make sure to take yeonjun with him.
thunder resonated throughout the entire island, lightning striking along the skies. the waves of the ocean seemed to hit the shore aggressively. and the dragon by the tree woke with a resonating growl, fire coming out of his mouth.
and that was all it took for beomgyu to lose his shit.
"choi yeonjun! choi beomgyu! which one of you pricks let this hideous creature into my island?!"
"she's mad." yeonjun whispered, now at his side.
"no, shit."
"who let this ghoul in?!" jihu screamed.
"i have a plan."
"hyung. i don't think you can flirt your way out of this."
"well damn, i have another plan."
"what?"
"run for your life."
"if i see both of your faces, i'll make sure to send you back to the deepest darkest pits of hell!"
