*3 months later*

'Are you ready?' My mum shouted to me as I dragged my heavy bags one by one down the stairs, in my soon to be ex-house.
'Yes, but I would love some help if you can? I under stand having your hands empty like that you can't spare much help can you? I said with obvious sarcasm. My dad looked up from his phone and glared at me, it reminded me that he hadn't hurt me so far that day.
I threw the rest of my bags in my car and jumped in. I waved to my mum, then raced down the road.
'To freedom!' I shouted out my open window, then took one last look down the road to my hell. I'm never going back.
I promised Sam (my boyfriend) that I would pick him up so he can see my new flat. Maybe this could be the perfect time to break up with him, I thought to my self. All he would want to do is bang knowing him.
I pulled up next to his house and beeped my car's horn, a few minutes later he walked out. He had his face in his phone.
'of course' I mumbled as he got close.
'Hey baby' I said with a light tone in my voice.
'Hey' he answered, still on his phone. I sighed and turned the car back on.
It didn't take long for me to find my flat's drive way. I pulled up and took a good, long look at the place I will be living in for the foreseeable future.
'Nice' I said to myself with a surprised but happy look on my face. I'm free finally, I glanced over to Sam, aren't I?
