The two of you quickly ran out of the room. You didn't know where you were going, but Dazai had an action plan. You secretly admired the dramatic way his coat flew behind him.

"Dazai, where are we going?"

"To commit double suicide, obviously."

"Ha-ha. But, seriously... Where are we going?"

"Just keep running!"

You shook your head, before tearing forward with him. Suddenly, you turned a corner and noticed Chuuya. In the dimly lit corridor, you saw his eyes glistening. He was... crying?

"Hey fuckboy, didn't realise you'd cry over me."

"The fuck did- (Y/N)?!"

He crossed his arms, trying to look tough. You smirked, and he shook his head. You waved you arm at him to follow, which he did. He 'tch'ed at you, grinning.

"So, where the hell are we going?"

"Dazai won't tell me."

However, just as you finished, you all ran outside. Three motorbikes were lined up. You caught the keys that were thrown to you and grinned. The other two quickly jumped on, before Dazai gave you instructions, and a gun.

"Kutaro is about to leave the coast. We better catch him. Do you know how to-"

You revved the engine, the joy of it even better after being faced with death. Your (H/L) hair flew backwards behind you. The other two could be heard.

You all raced down the road. All three of you put the bikes at full speed, desperate to get there in time. Adrenaline flowed through your veins, and it felt good. However, you soon reached a traffic jam. Then, you saw an opening.

"To the left! There's an alleyway."

You all managed the sharp turn, racing down the alleyway. It was difficult to get through there, but the coast was very close now. Within sight. You noticed the ship leaving - a wood board was leant up. You quickly drove up it, before skidding onto the deck. You couldn't see Chuuya - fortunately, he was in the water. Dazai quickly used his ability as Kutaro was in sight - he had managed to shoot Chuuya's wheel, but you two had easily cleared it. You pointed your gun at Kutaro's forehead.

"Explain yourself, right now."

"Do it."

"...What?"

"I can finally rejoin my sister. So it's okay."

You gritted your teeth, hand shaking - was he bluffing? The look in his eyes was honest. You lowered the gun.

"You lost your sister, huh?"

Dazai looked very pissed off. He was probably mad, but he just seemed so uncomposed compared to usual.

"Sorry, (Y/N)."

Dazai's rage was unleashed with a single bullet. You managed to slightly shift his aim, but his bullet pierced Kutaro's shoulder. Kutaro screamed in agony, and you managed to knock Dazai unconscious as he fell on the floor. You didn't know who to be more concerned for.

"I- Damn it!"

You layed Dazai to rest, before tearing off your jacket sleeve and using it to apply pressure onto Kutaro's arm. Kutaro smirked, blood running down from his mouth. You closed your eyes in frustration.

"I'm sorry Kutaro. I didn't mean-"

"Tch - you shouldn't feel bad for me now. You don't even remember me. Still, it feels good to know someone cares for me. Before I die, y'know."

Tears dripped down from your eyes. You remembered everything now. Kutaro activated his ability, reversing the effects of a previous attack. He had been your friend. He had always been so happy in the Mafia, laughing and bringing everyone together. He had been precious to you. He had a sister too...

You turned a corner, seeing Kutaro sobbing over something. Amy, the little girl he had joined the Mafia to protect, was on a blood-surrounded Kutaro's lap. Multiple bullet holes were scattered on her frail body. Tears streamed down your face.

"W-what happened?"

He turned around, looking like a feral animal. He yelled at you, his voice harsh, coarse and agressive.

"It's the damn Mafia's fault! Th-they murdered her! (Y/N), they... She's..."

You went over to comfort him, but he shoved you backwards. You landed on your arm and felt a tearing sensation. You didn't care. You sat up, seeing Kutaro walk away. Suddenly, your mind went blank. Why were you crying...? Why were you there...?

Tears flooded your face. You stroked Kutaro's hair, holding him close. You muttered a quiet 'I'm so sorry.'. Your jacket was soaked with blood and tears.

"It's not your fault (Y/N). This isn't Dazai's. I'm sorry... I tried to take it out on you.  So... Night, (Y/N)."

"Kutaro... Kutaro!"

You screeched, holding the corpse close to you. You wished this hadn't happened. Why did you have to forget?! You heard footsteps behind you - Dazai had woken up. You guessed he  remembered now too.

"So... I guess you know how I felt that night."

You didn't want to talk. You just wanted to stay there with Kutaro. His body was growing colder. You knew he was dying, but maybe if you didn't let go, he'd warm up again. Come back to life. You knew it wouldn't work, but... Suddenly, you felt a warm entity move you. You were in Dazai's arms again. You began sobbing more, unable to hold it in. You felt your hair being stroked in a comforting way.

Later, you'd report to the Mafia what had happened. But for now... You were allowed to be upset.
