As Roselynne stared at the walls of her room that she'd shared with Bethany, she heard heels clicking against the stone floors. Quickly. And they were heading straight for their door. When the knob turned and Bethany almost fell into the room, after she collected herself, Roselynne said,
"Why didn't you show up for dinner? Have more important things to do... Or people in that matter?" Rose asked.
"Oh please! I saw you run up the stairs! Don't even try to act like you have no clue where I was!"
"I didn't say I had no clue where you were! I wanted to hear you Admit it!"  Rose shouted.
"Would you seriously ditch your friend to suck some dudes di--"
"--OKAY!" She cut me off.
"Okay! I'm sorry! I really am, but I've been crushing on this guy for years now. We kind of went to the same school before we turned fifteen and had to transfer here to learn how to deal with being Vampiars." She blabbered out in a rush.
"Oh... And I'm sorry I freaked out, but it hurts to be chosen second over a boy." Rose admitted.
"And your my only friend here so I don't want to lose that." She said.
"Me neither."
"Next time tell me you can't be there, I may understand what your trying to say to me... And I might let you go." Rose said.
Bethany giggled.

So much for telling Bethany that the boy she liked... Was also liked - much more - by the girl in the dining hall...
