Today wasn't an ordinary day for Marinette, then again, no day was ordinary for her. Not with her second life as Ladybug. But today was a special day, not for Ladybug, but just for her. Marinette Dupain-Cheng, the clumsy, blue-haired, pre-fashion designer and Paris' best baker's daughter. Today was her birthday, and not just any birthday her 15th Birthday. That meant she was going to get her Soulmark today.
A Soulmark, is the mark on your wrist that you get when you turn 15 years old. This mark can range from anything... Literally anything. It represents something that is very important to your Soulmate. So if your Soulmate loves dogs, then you might end up with a dog or paw print on your wrist. So, when this day came for Marinette, she was very excited, but a bit nervous, then again... Who wasn't? This day pretty much decided the love of your life, well, not for everyone... some didn't care and ran off with someone else they 'loved'... those relationships rarely work out... Marinette was mainly hopeful that her mark would resemble something with her huuuge crush Adrien Agreste, who she couldn't have a simple conversation with without sounding like she was about to die. She wasn't sure how that would work, but she hoped it could.

After her alarm blaring for about a whole ten minutes, Marinette finally opened her eyes from her fantasy dream of Adrien actually being her soulmate. After she took a glance at her clock she fell out of her bed...

"GAH! TIKKI, I'm gonna be late! Why didn't you wake me up sooner?!" Marinette yelled as quietly as she could, so her parents wouldn't hear her. Marinette scrambled around her room to get dressed and gather her things for the day, she was so occupied with the idea of being late, she didn't even check to see her Soulmark. The Kwami just giggled at her friend's distress.

"Im sorry, Marinette, I tried to wake you up, but you were too busy dreaming about Adrien!" The Kwami replied kindly, but but teasingly at the same time. Marinette told Tikki every thing, and there was no doubt that if Marinette was daydreaming about Adrien, she'd had heard it.

"T-Tikki! Seriously?!" Marinette said desperately,as she was finally ready to go to school. The Kwami just rolled her eyes playfully and flew into Marinette's purse. Marinette was dashing through her house, in attempt not to be late. She was running so fast and paying so little attention she didn't even hear her parent wishing her happy birthday or asking about her Soulmark. She just ran, all the way to school and right into her BFF Alya.

"Hey gurl, Happy Birthday!" Alya said, almost as if Marinette had never bumped into her... or if it had happened a Million times... Alya then pulled out a small wrapped box, decorated In Marionette's colors; Pink and White. "I got this for you! I hope you it!..." Alya continued as they walked into class and sat at their seats. Marinette began to open it, and what resulted was a white bracelet with similar design that was on her shirt and purse, Marinette put it on without hesitation. "I got us both bracelets...I got your flowers printed on separately though." Alya added, holding up her wrist which had a orange plaid design on it to match her own shirt. Marinette then embraced Alya in a hug.

"Thank you so much, Alya, I love it!" Marinette said as she pulled back out of the hug, examining the bracelet. Alya said a few things along the lines of 'No problem!'and 'Of course!' But then, Adrien and Nino walked in. Marinette was one of the youngest in her class, only by a few months but still, it meant she was one of the last her get her Soulmark. Everyone n her class had met, and was pretty much in a relationship with their Soulmate. For example, Alya and Nino have known they were Soulmates ever since that day in the zoo. There was one person who hid their mark... Adrien. He saided had no clue who she could be, so he didn't have any reason to share it. Everyone accepted this, assuming it might be orders from his father, Gabriel Agreste, so they didn't ask too many questions. But Alya seeing Adrien didn't stop her from asking Marinette questions.

"Soooo, what's your Soulmark, girl?" Alya asked in a teasing voice.

"Well-Welll... I-I forgot to check... I was so busy trying not to be late to school this morning I didn't get a chance to look..." Marinetta replied coyly, scratching the back of her head, knowing her best friend's next response.

"Seriously girl? I swear, you gotta get a functioning alarm,or something!" She said, laughing at her friend's clumsiness. Marinette completely expected this response, she even said the same thing to herself in her head once she watched Adrien enter the room. "Welllll" Alya added, "Lets see it then!"

"Alright..." Marinette replied slowly as she began to roll upper sleeve.

Just then, the teacher walked in, at the conversation had to be put on hold.
