Forgotten {Jay's little sister}

chapter 7

HI HI, people. I know I've been crazy slow on the updates on this story. Please forgive me

This chapter is a little bit longer than the others. I hope you guys like it.

Like always, I don't own descendants Disney characters. All that's mine is Jewel and some of the storyline.

"They chose the twins!!" Smee exclaimed.

Some pirates were congratulating them and some just didn't care at all. As Harry and I were walking toward the crew, Harry went to the ship with Gil while the twins came up to me asking in unison, "Can we go, can we?"

"I'm the one who told you two to apply. So you guys can go." I told the twins. They had these dorky smiles on their faces.

"Thank you very much captain," Smee said

"First Mate Smee!!" Harry yelled from the ship. Smee just winked at me and I smiled.

I heard a faint yell of someone calling for Harry and Gil, I turn towards the barrier. I could have sworn that I saw Uma in the ocean outside the barrier. I went to the edge of the dock to look out to the sea. I hadn't noticed that I was leaning over the dock until someone had pulled the back of my shirt.

"Jewel what were you doing you could have fallen in the water" Gil had said to me breaking my concentration.

"I thought I saw something," I looked over Gil's shoulder but there was nothing but water and auradon past the barrier, "but it's nothing," I said walking away.

Later that day I was on patrol seeing many villain kids being happy and hopeful. Thinking that their gonna be chosen to go to Auradon. Pathetic, they're never going. Only those who the 'savior's' see as non-threatening get to go.

No matter where I went on my route there were posters on every wall, praising Mal, Evie, Carlos, and Jay. Saying that Mal saved us all. All of Evie's dreams came true. If you have no one here you'll have Carlos as a friend in Auradon. And that Jay will be your big brother till the end. They make me sick. I tore down everyone I saw.

Once I was home I went up to my balcony and just screamed, "allaenat, allaenat, allaenat ealaa Auradon!" {Translate- Ugh, Damn them, Damn Auradon!} I stared at the barrier, at Auradon. All I could think of was how they are so perfect, think they're helping the street rats like me and every isle. But their not.

"Stop scheming for a minute would you," Harry said. Pulling me out of my mental rant.

"Wasn't scheming, I was ranting," I said, not looking away from Auradon.

"Then why are you snake eyes showing," Harry said looking at me.

I hadn't noticed that Harry had moved next to me. I took a few deep breaths to calm myself down. I looked at harry asking him "better?"

"Much," Harry said. "Why didn't you sign up to go to Boradon?" He asked.

"Why in Hades would I? It's nothing but a gamble. And...ugh nothing" I said.

"And what?" He asked.

"Their all lies, none of it's true and it makes me sick that the kids believe these lies," I said going to my little rickety bed.

Harry asked again "Well yea, but why not?" While he sits on the bed with me.

"Because even if I did, they wouldn't have picked me. And I'm not gonna leave the rest of you here." I say.

"You're too smart for that." He said.

I just shrugged and said, " I hate that a small part of me still wants to be with Jay. All he does is lie and leave. I'm still that shy little shadow that I was." Pulling my knees to my chest and burying my head in between.

"Hey look at me." Harry said as he pushed my head up, "you're far from that girl, that girl was gone the second you put that pirate hat on."

"But-" I started to argue.

"Right there, the fact that your arguing proves my point. The old Jewel never would have done that." He said.

I smiled realizing that he was right.

"See. Now come on fish bait, I'm tired" He said as he pushed me down onto the bed.

I covered myself with a moth-eaten quilt, "night Harry," I said sleepily.

"Night Jewel," Harry said turning off the room's light.

^one week later^

Today was the day the twins left the Isle to go to Auradon.

As the twins were getting ready to leave. I pulled them aside and told them, "Alright you two listen to me. You're going to Auradon with those stuck up kids and they will make fun of you. But what you need to know is that you are from the isle and own it, you're a whole lot tougher than whatever they throw at you."

The twins nodded and went to their father, grabbed their bags, and headed off to leave the Isle.

The whole crew went to send them off. Some of the pirates went to the car to say goodbye to the twins. While the rest of the pirates stayed back in the shadows. From the shadows, I could see the liars, cheats, the fake saviors.

The crew followed the purple limo to the end of the barrier.

Hades had charged through the crowd and tried to escape before the barrier closed. Harry and Gil automatically went in front of me to block me from any danger. But then I saw Dragon Mal in the sky and I broke through them and saw that Hades had his arm outside the barrier holding his glowing ember. Carlos, Ben, and Jay were all knocked out and Hades began to drain Mal's powers.

I know that once Mal goes down, the kids are open targets. I called scepter to my hand and concentrated on what I needed to do, then said, "himayat al'abria' min tahdid allh. wa'iieadatuh 'iilaa hayth tam 'iirsaluh."

(English translation to "Protect the innocent from this God's threat And bring him back to where he was sent")

Sand began to swirl around Hades and I. Hades tried to fight my spell but I wasn't going to let him win and my red snake eyes became a brighter red. Mal then shot him with an air blast and he was knocked back inside the barrier.

Mal flew down and turned back into her human form. I stumbled back from the cut off of the pure magic from Auradon, Harry caught me before I fell to the ground.

"I'm fine," I told him, "are the kids alright?" I asked

"They're fine just look scared, are sure your ok your shaking," he said as he helped me to my feet.

I saw the kids looking at me, scared, I nodded to them that I was fine. I saw out the corner of my that Jay and Carlos were staring at me. They looked at me strangely, as if they were surprised, though I have no idea why. I held their stares and flashed my red snake eyes, causing them to back up. Harry came up behind me and put his arm around my shoulder and we walked away back to the crew, leaving the rest in disbelief.

Once the crew was back at the docks we all decided to head over to the chip shop. while we were there, everyone was buzzing about the recent 'battle'. I had grabbed a tray of spoiled sour shrimp soup and sat outside on the railings looking out to Auradon. I looked down at my bracelet and saw that it was almost out, I had used too much today but it was worth it to save my kids. I started thinking about how it felt different today being exposed to the magic outside the barrier. It was so much stronger than the other times I've used magic or when the barriers been open. The fact that I was, one able to hold back Hades while he was using his ember, and two that after I was cut off from the magic I didn't pass out like before. I wonder if that means I'm actually gaining more strength and maybe I'll be able to do more with my magic.
