Did I really just tell her? Shit. I thought, looking down. Avoiding her eyes I repeated myself. " I'm an angel "

She just stopped and looked at me for a moment. And all she could get out was a few uncertain "uh"s. We stood there staring at each other for awhile, I started thinking well this is awkward...

"An-An angel?" She asked, pulling me from my thoughts. "Like, how,... I just... What?" Sputtered out.

"I'm an angel, like from heaven.", I paused, deciding to be funny..I hope. " I have come to save you my lady". I lifted out my chest, and put my hands on my hips like a superhero. I looked back over when I heard squeaking. It was coming from Myra. She was trying to styfle a laugh.

That's cute, I thought, but not as cute as Taylors laugh...WAIT WHAT?

Later in the day, I was sitting on the floor, playing monopoly. "You know, we really shouldn't be playing this", she said suddenly.

"What, why?" I asked in utter confusion.

"Because this game is said to ruin friendships, and I don't want to ruin this one so soon".

I smiled and looked back down, trying not to giggle. "Just you wait till you get to know me, I'm a weird person. A really weird 15 year old. Wait, how old are you?", she said, suddenly looking up.

"In uh earth-human-thingies, I'm uh", I stopped to count, "15".

"Oh too bad," I heard her mumbled under her breath.

"What? Oh nothing. Never mind." She spit out, and I immediately knew it was a bad choice to let her know I heard her. I could feel her start to panic, and freak, but was soon brought down slowly.

I looked up and she was, counting? Both under her breath and in her head.

"one, two, three, four, five, six, seven." Pause. "one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, elevine." Pause. Repeate. Over and over again.

"Why are you doing that?" I asked softly, looking curiously at her. She stopped and looked back down at her feet, mumbling "It kinda calms me down, or rather controls my breathing."

"oh. I'm sorry" I added, intending to apologize for embarasing her.

"What are you sorry for? I'm the one being a wimp.." she trailed off. "what's wrong?" I asked, still looking at her. "Nothing... It's.. It's nothing, I'm fine", she had started to play with her sleeves. Feeling that odd sense of fear, I realized that she must be having another panic attack.

Man she does not get a break, I thought slowly moving towards her. As I reached out to touch her arm I heard a "n-no, don't" frantically stuttered out. She looked petrified, but despite her words, I still slowly enveloped her in a hug.

Her breathing got quicker, And she started trying to get out. "It's fine. Calm down. It's just a hug", I pointed out calmly.

"I. CAN'T. BREATHE." She said, firmly.

"yes, you can. Look, you just spoke."

She swallowed hard and pulled her knees up close to her chest. "Remember what you were doing few minutes ago? Counting?" She slowly nodded. "Try that again"

I could feel her struggling to breathe in that pattern. But slowly it became slower and more even. As I hugged her chest, I could feel her heart racing. Still.

"Oh. God." I breathed out. It was going way to fast. Feeling her shift around, I looked down at her still covered face, only to hear sniffling.

"What's wrong? Why are you crying?" I asked. She didn't answer, but simply shrugged. I held her again, this time slightly rubbing her back.

We sat like that for what seemed like hours. Finally, I noticed that the sniffling stopped, as well as the shaking, and her breathinng and pulse had slowed.

I started to move, but soon stopped as I realized that she had fallen asleep on me.
"Those things do look exhausting. Her heart problably feels like it had ran a mile." I quietly stated.

I slid my phone out of my pocket, and slowly checked it. I had 4 missed calls, and several missed texts from Taylor. The last one read: YOU NEED TO COME HOME. NOW. I HAVE A PROBLEM.
