PROMPT- from Pininterest:
"You have a bulletproof vest in your gym locker?"
"Yeah, where do you keep yours?"
"I don't HAVE one."
"A gym locker? Everyone has a gym locker."

STORY:
"And Emma just has to have her ballet shoes, and of course, mom told me to take her, so instead of a movie with cool superheroes and villains and guaranteed explosions, we drove to the mall. I ended up dress shopping with my sister last night." John continued, flailing his arms around.

From the bench, Isaac rubbed his face and rolled his head back. "Man, will you calm down already? It could have been worse."

John glared at Isaac. "How?"

Isaac's eyebrows shot up in a sarcastic fashion above his wicked grin. "She could have made you try on dresses... Or make-up... Or a purse."

John turned to open his locker and groaned, muttering the word, "Backstabber."

Isaac stifled a snort.

Over his shoulder, John retorted, "So glad I'm your primary source of amusement."

Isaac stood. "As long as you don't bite my head off..." Isaac could view the inside of John's locker while John was busy, a rare sight. A sack, papers, deodorant, pencils, a thick jacket, a picture of corvette... Isaac's eyes darted back to the black piece of clothing. "Odd..."

John looked up from a text message. "What is?"

Isaac glanced at him. "What's with the vest?"

John shrugged, pushing the phone into his pocket. "Yeah, came with the locker. Mr. Reynolds says there were problems last year and students may have a need for protective gear."

Isaac's face revealed shock and bewilderment. "So, it's bulletproof?" John nodded. "You keep a bulletproof vest in your gym locker?"

"Yeah... Where do you keep yours?" John glanced at the row of lockers beside Isaac.

"I don't HAVE one." Isaac said flatly.

"A gym locker? Everyone has a gym locker." John nodded towards Isaac's locker.

"Really?" Isaac cocked his head to the side humorously. "I couldn't tell. Thanks for telling me what I already knew."

John rolled his eyes and slammed his locker.

"John. I meant I don't have a vest." Isaac paused in thought. "In fact, this is the first I've heard of or seen it. The other people don't have a vest in their lockers. Out of the entire high school population, John, you are the only one in possession of a bulletproof vest and that can not possibly be good."
