So Naruto's over. Fishcakes. No more dattebayö, dobe, or baka? No more ramen?
I'm pretty sad about the entire thing. Kishi's not leaving us high and dry, but... God, fifteen years! I was only here for three, but in those three years I became a hardcore Narutard. I don't let anyone trash my favorite anime, not to mention my starter anime! Naruto makes me genuinely happy. Watching everyone grow in power and develop friendships and eternal bonds was awesome. This anime gave me true joy.
To address chapter 700, I couldn't be happier, although it's kind of bittersweet. The second generation is so cute and are gonna be just as cool as their parents. Everyone is very close to each other, and I love their character designs. Lee made me laugh and Sasuke made me squeal (He looks like Madara! *fangirls because he looks boss*).
It took me a second to realize that the dark haired girl with the thin red glasses was Sakura's and Sasuke's kid. Talk about shocked! I was like, Damn. I don't ship those two, but what can I do about it? It's canon now, and I'm happy that the Uchiha clan was continued.
I consider this a picture perfect end to an epic series, though a lot of people said that it felt rushed. Think about it from Kishi's point of view. If you've been doing the same manga for fifteen years, wouldn't you feel a little giddy? I think he was trying to hurry up and finish. That's what I think. And since there's a movie coming out, by writing a speedy chapter, he's kind of saying,"Hey! Go watch the movie. It'll be like an extended chapter!" Cause that's what everyone seems to want. We want to see the next generation do some stuff. Well, we'll see in the movie. I don't think Naruto had his hair cut when he caught Bolt painting on the Hokage monument, (but I could be wrong. Feel free to correct me) so I figure there's a small time skip between the movie and the chapter. But then again, his hair was cut when he became Hokage... Hmm. Gives you stuff to think about, doesn't it?
I do wonder what will happen to the fan sites and the wiki. Will people still be on or will they shut it down? I figure people will be asking questions and doing all the research they can so when we get a look at the movie, we won't be left high and dry. Maybe they'll still be there.
So that's my take on the whole thing.
So long, Naruto and the gang. It's been real.
