NOVA BLACK wouldn't say she had a sheltered childhood, like at all. With all the fucked up things going on in the world, her parent thought telling her would be best ( of course it wasn't, but they didn't want to leave her in the dark ! ! yeah great plan ) This lead to her growing up much to fast, which then lead to her moving out and into an apartment at the age of 16 . . . with her best friend, yes it's ( almost? ) legal.
But she's managing, she already has a steady job which allowed her to get a therapist because, god, did she need one. But her life was going fine and dandy so far, then it all fucked up ( again, did I mention the fucked up part before? ). Anyways. When someone who she thought she had blocked from her life — social media and real-life — came into her apartment to meet with her roommate to talk about Greek mythology of all things!
Nova, being the too nice son of a bitch she is, obviously allowed him back into her life. And what's the worse that could happen, right?
